I realized something wasn't right. Why would I keep getting sick like this? I tip toed in the hall and glanced into our room. Charlie was sound asleep. I wrote a note and left it on the night stand by our bed.
"Charlie,
Went to store to pick up a few things. I didn't want to wake you.
Love you, ~Molly"
I pulled on some sweatpants and a hoodie and headed out. It was still dark and quiet out. It was sort of peaceful. I liked it.
So there I was, at the drug store at roughly 6:00 ish in the morning. I walked through the aisle making sure to look at every product on the shelves. It may have looked like I was simply browsing, but I knew that there was something I had to buy.
I found it, and brought it to the check out counter.
"Trying for a little one huh?" Asked the clerk
"Sort of," I said, nervously.
"Well I hope it works out for ya, have a nice day."
She handed me the bag and I left the store. The drive home seemed like it took forever. But I finally reached the drive way. I crept into the house so I wouldn't disturb Charlie, who was still in fact sleeping like a baby.
I closed the bathroom door and opened the bag from the drug store. Somehow, this little stick thing was gonna tell me if I was going to have a baby. I sighed.
"Its now or never."
I followed the instructions and the wait seemed like forever. My hands were shaking as I icke it up and squinted my eyes to make sure I could accuratley read what it said.
Why am I so nervous? I thought. If we were going to have a baby, then that'd be great, I mean we're ready for this right? I looked and saw the results. I let out a sound that wasn't exactly loud, but I cupped my hands over my mouth as a reaction.
