A few months ago, the Palace of Syland was still so lively from the joy and happiness procured by the princes and princesses. They would swim through the corridors, pursuing each other, laughing, having fun, playing games, messing with the servants.
But now, there was only pure silence and darkness. Only guards were barely swimming around.
__ Your Majesty, the complaints of the People keep rising. They say that there are not enough hunters for overland food.
The new king was sitting comfortably on his high throne. His long dark hair were flotting with grace around his muscled body. His blue eyes were reflecting his bored mind. He played with his beard and said with annoyance:
__ why would we need overland food? Aren't the different species of fish here not enough?
__ well, overland food are actually for the new-borns to help them grow faster and stronger, and develop their intelligence.
The king rolled his eyes and sighed:
__ that's burdensome. Just kill them then.
The messenger clenched and got a chill. He knew that the new king was a fool, but not to the point of killing babies just because the ressources weren't enough. He stuttered in hesitation, the face down.
King Alzus slapped his fingers and called for the next speaker. He saw the person in charge of killing the previous heirs and sat properly with serious. It was the Reaper himself. This latter bowed with elegance and presented his greetings.__ so, get to the point, said the king in rush. Did you find them? Did you kill them all?
__ we found the 5th prince near the Zapayans Tribe. He was looking for help but obviously they turned him down.
__ good. Kill him already.
__ Your majesty, with all due respect, why don't we just close him up in a hole? He was known to have a good relation with the people, so we may need him later.
__ hmmm... alright. If you think so.
The Reaper was his faithful servant, so he trusted everything he said with no doubt.__ and the others? he querried.
__ we still don't know where the 4th Prince is, but he probably went to the human world.
__ the human world?? Well, well, he unexpectedely escaped, though he was the strongest among the heirs. Find him and kill him. He's the one that i loathe the most amoung them. And what about the female?
__ we found the princess in the human world. But with the weak body of hers, i don't think she will last long.
__ good, let's leave her die alone. Just keep an eye on her.

Arhan was sitting nervously, holding tight the armrests. His gaze was focused on the clouds through the window, trying his best to relax.
Lukas rose his eyes from the magazine to look at the long haired merman in front of him. He could feel how stressed he was just from looking at him. Which was normal: it was not only a first in his life to live on land, but now that they were at a hundreds kilometers from the ground, it was definitely understandable. Arhan's fear was the reason why he used the private jet of his parents to go to L.A and not taking a public flight. If there were too many people, he would even feel uneasy, VIP or no. Anyway, Lukas didn't like public flight either.
One month has passed since Arhan had arrived at his place. They became closer to the point of having sex almost everyday.
And through that time, Hank finally called him, announcing that he found the oracle. This latter was actually living in an apartement in Los Angeles. So they had to fly there.
Lukas was so proud to have been able to help Arhan in any way.
