AFTER WATCHING PAITENTLY, the two teenagers in front of Ziggy and I broke apart from their hug, making the newly found blonde speak up. "Ok, careful. This things like a million years old."
Cindy Berman frowned, looking at her bag. "I bought this a month ago."
The blonde laugh, shaking her head. "No, I'm not talking about your stupid bag, genius. 'Blood will fall'. Ok, Satan's stone was right here!" Exclaimed the female.
Confused on what I was hearing, my eyebrows raised. "When did Satan come into this?" I whisper to Ziggy, who shrugged with the same amount of confusion I had.
"All this time, buried under the moss. I found it. I fucking found it."
"Found what?"
"Three guesses."
As then two older girls began to move, Ziggy and I were quick to follow them in pursuit, wanting to continue to be involved in on this conversation. We swiftly all made our ways to a table in the cafeteria, the blonde placing down Cindy's bag.
I settled myself down next to Ziggy, as the blonde pulled out the bones of a hand, everything still attached to said hand. I grimaced in shock, raising my eyebrows higher than I think humanly possible. "What the hell is that." I point to the hand.
The blonde looked over to Ziggy and I, a cheeky smirk on her face. "It's Sarah Fier's lost hand."
My eyes widened, letting out a gasp. Ziggy quickly gave me a look of excitement. "Holy shit! That's like, your great-great-great grandmother's hand!" Ziggy lowly shouted, jumping from her seat.
I gave her a confused, judgment look. "Don't get excited! That's my family member's damn dead hand." I hissed.
"Yeah." Ziggy giggled excitedly, playing with the boney hand, making it dance around. I gasped, smacking her pale hand. "Don't touch granny!" I grimaced.
The two other teenagers in front of Ziggy and I shared a look, before the blonde asked the simple question, "What?"
"Oh, this is Joan's sister, Cami Fier." Ziggy nodded, introducing myself. The blonde's eyes slightly widened, before slowly nodding along.
Clearing her throat, Cindy spoke up. "Nurse Lane, she spent her entire life looking for this. A way to stop the curse that took her daughter."
"'Without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm. The curse will last until body and hand unite'." The blonde repeated what the book said, before passing the pages towards Ziggy and me. "This led us to the hand gone. And if the legend is true, that means her bodies still buried--"
The blonde spoke, before I cut in. "By the hanging tree."
The girl nodded as Cindy spoke up. "We can end this. No more murders, no more curse, no more..." Cindy drifted off, turning to her now dead boyfriend, Tommy. Slowly, I followed her stare, looking down at the dead boy on the groun. "Pain." She finished. "We can save Shadyside. Tonight!"
