Marvel: Trouble with Mischief

My hands were trembling, trying to hold the gun steadily at my target, sweat pouring down my face. "Are you really that weak?" the God of Mischief asked with that nice, beautiful smile of his. The words weren't coming out, the fear I had was just too much "Stop! Stop Stop!" the director yelled feeling disappointed. The Loki illusion cutting off and the training room inside of S.H.I.E.L.D going back to its original brightness. "What are you doing just standing there?!" the director yelled as I was still trying to feel my heart beat, waiting for it to come back to me again, my hands still shaking. "You know what, go take a breather, when you come back, I want to see your bad side, go, leave" he said in complete disappointment, shaking his head.

I felt terrible, I failed...I failed to do something that shouldn't be that complicated. I ran out of the training room, dropping the fake laser gun on the floor, wanting to bury my face in tears because of what I just showed my own boss. I was so confident about this exam, so confident to become a higher person in my work, but it didn't end up like that. I don't know what happened to me in there, once Loki came out, I just froze, was it my fear? Was I too scared? I took out my phone and I called my boss while i walked out of HQ "Director, I need some time to think, I'll do the exam tomorrow" I said on the phone "Cr-" was all he got out before I hung up on him.

I was going to prove to my boss that I was able to do this, no matter what. I took a deep breath and decided to go into a Coffee Shop to cool off. When I got in I met someone unexpectedly "Cap?" I asked as he also saw me at the same time "Heyyyy, and you areeee???" Cap asked, "Oh, um, I'm Crystal, we haven't fully met before, I'm an agent-in-training" I told him. "Ah, I see, sorry i didn't come to recognize you" He said, "Oh, no no, you don't have to apologize, it's ok" I said to him with a smile. "So, how's training going for ya?" He asked, "I'll tell you once I get some coffee, maybe we can sit down and talk about it" I said to him with a nod and he smiled and nodded back "all right, I'll go and find us a table then" he said, being the kind gentlemen he was, walking away to go and find a table. I got in line, and it took just a couple of minutes for me to get my coffee, pay, and go find the table that Cap chose out.

It was a nice, clean 2-seat table, close to the window but not right in front, I'm sure if he picked one right by the window, he would be sure to get a lot of attention. I sigh and sit down right across from him, slowly and gently putting my coffee down on the table in front of me, taking a sip before I talk about training. "So, about training?" he said, as if he knew something was up "Right..." I said, kind of creeped out by the way he said it, "Are you ok?" He asked. "Cap, do you know something? You seem like you already know what happened" I said to him as he then brought out his cell-phone and showed it to me with a text that was on the screen that was sent by Coulson that read "Mission: Go to coffee shop and see if someone named Crystal is there, or anyone who calls out your name, see what's wrong".

I got more and more furious the more I read the mission he was given "Really?! Ugh, does he always have to be so snoopy? Why is that even a mission?!" I ranted. "I don't even know" he chuckled, "That man's crazy sometimes, I won't lie, I still can't believe he's alive, so anyways, you can tell me and I can just lie to him if you want". I shook my head "He might as well know the truth, and I will tell you, they put Loki in my exam, they put a freaking illusion of Loki in my exam!" I said loudly yet still softly so others couldn't hear it. Cap's expression went blank "And you freaked out?" He guessed and i shrugged "I don't know what happened, I just froze, I could barely breathe, I was sweating, and I just can't explain it. I just couldn't shoot, couldn't think either, and completely forgot my sense of place" I said to Cap, "Wow, that must've been difficult, I know I would've been scared too." Cap admitted.

I looked shocked, not being able to believe what this guy was telling me at all "But, you're Captain America" I said to him in a what-are-you-talking-about way. "That doesn't mean I never get scared, I'm a person, just like everyone else, and I have feelings, like everyone else" he said and I nodded, it was true, but I still couldn't see Cap being scared. "I'm just a risk-taker" he finally said "Ok, now that there, I believe" I said with a chuckle and he chuckled a bit too. "Cap, what should I do?" I asked him as I slammed my head on the table, not even caring about how much it hurt, thankfully not slamming it on my coffee too, which I moved to the side earlier. "Hmmm, he thought, "I have an idea, you have to meet Loki!" he said to me with a good-luck smile.

I just lifted my head off the table and narrowed my eyes at him, not noticing that my forehead was kind of red for slamming it. "How do I do that?! Also, do you want me to die?!" I asked him, images from the war in New York just flashing through my head as i asked that. "Easy...Thor, and you won't die" He said "I can't even believe your suggesting this" I said to him as I shook my head "Trust me, he's in jail, he won't be able to touch you" Cap said with a smile. I sighed "And it should stay that way, have you missed the God of Mischief, God of Lies part in your textbook, because that dude is smart!" I said to Cap with wide eyes. "I know he's the God of Mischief and God of Lies, and we never even got a textbook" He said "I'll let you borrow mine" I said back with a chuckle "and I can't even get to Thor anyways" I said.

"Um, that's kind of why I'm here" He said with a chuckle as he found a way to get to Thor and told him to come to the coffee shop for something important, but to come in Midgardian Clothes and look like a normal human being. After a long chat between me and Cap we finally saw the prince run inside, Cap waved over to him and he nodded and then ran over to the table. Cap moved more closer to the wall so Thor could sit next to him but he sat next to me instead, me already being all the way close to the wall. I kind of laughed a bit and Cap rolled his eyes and then looked at Thor, well...we both looked at him. He was curious on why we were just looking at him "Yes? Am I really that interesting to watch?" He asked with a serious face which made me break into a laugh.

"Oh Thor" I said as I shook my head, he was keeping his straight face but i could tell he was holding in a laugh, even though it didn't look like it, i knew. "All right, now, down to business, Thor, we need you to take her to Loki so she can pass her exam." Cap explained to Thor. His eyes widened right when Cap got to the word 'Loki' and he shook his head "I can't" He said, "Loki is being highly secured and watched, not even a lizard could get in where he's at." Thor said. "I had a feeling this won't work" I said, releasing a deep breath, Cap got to thinking, maybe he wasn't asking the right question. "Is there any possible way on Earth to see this guy?" Cap asked Thor, and then it got him thinking.

"Feeding Time!" He said as he snapped, he didn't say it loud loud for everyone to hear, but we heard very clearly and we were kind of confused. "A guard brings food to Loki every now and then whilst he's in his cell, maybe if we dressed as one of the guards and came at the time they fed Loki food, we'd be able to meet up with him." Thor said. "Then we can take him back to Midgard cuffed, we need the keys to the cells and guard schedules." He said, but then he realized something. He forgot to ask a very important question "Um, why do we need Loki?" Thor asked with a confused face.

"Crystal freaked out when she was taking her exam to become a superhero, most likely assassin, and they gave her a Loki illusion in the room where she was taking it" Cap said. "So, how would Loki being here help?" Thor asked, and I was kind of asking myself the same question now. "Maybe her meeting the real person will let out some of her fear, maybe they can talk, we can see how everything goes when he gets here" Cap said. "So, Thor, your going to have to get Loki, you're the only one allowed in your place, I've heard news that your father isn't really human friendly" Cap said and Thor nodded and chuckled. "That is true Captain of America, and yes, I will proceed with my duty, but as long as you do yours, which is making sure Loki is watched 24/7 and doesn't make trouble or dissappear from our sight" Thor said.

Cap nodded "Will do" he said.
