December 1992
He smiled softly at his girlfriend, Samantha. Martha had broke up with him not long after the Preimer because he started doing drugs. Which was actually false. He planted the drugs and faked being wasted. The reason was because he had been sick and was throwing up blood. Now a days, it happened even more so his dad set a date to turn him into a vampire. Right now, he felt happy and content until he felt ready to throw up. Excusing himself, he basically ran to the toilet and threw up. He knew why. He hadn't fed as much as he used to and he hasn't been able to. It was killing him so his vampire side was attacking his human side. This time the throwing up didn't stop. He threw up six times before he was able to stop. He sighed deeply and his mother entered. "You alright?" She asked. "Never better." River faked. He wiped his mouth then flushed the toilet. He then went back over to Samantha. "You okay?" She asks, noticing the flat line his lips were pressed into. "Yeah. I'm fine." He fakes, yet again. He gives her an unconvincing smile but she shruged and went back to talking about when they were kids with the rest of his family. "Rio? You look pale." Summer says suddenly. River looked at her surprised. "Oh... I'm okay, Summer. Just got a stomach ache." River says. Which is what it felt like, really. "You sure? 'Cause, Riv, your like really pale. Like a dead person pale, no offense." Samantha says, worriedly. "She's right." River's mother says. River gulps for a second and he licks his lips, sighing. "I feel okay. Honestly-" He starts but stops mid senetence. "Riv?" Joaquin says. River gave them a very convincing smile. "I'll be okay." He shrugs. Everyone goes back to there coversation since River was supposidley fine. Suddenly, River's head begain to spin like he was dizzy. He tried his best not throw up and it worked but he felt himself black out.
Three hours later; At the hospital:
River's eyes flew open and he nearly jumped outta the bed. What did the doctors know? Was his skin cold? Had he been turned? His thoughts swam like a school of fish in the Carriebean Sea until a doctor walked in. "Ah, Mr. Phoenix, your awake." The Doctor addressed him. River awaited the knews. "I have good news and bad news." "Okay." River replies. "Good news is your alive and healthy, which thank god but the bad news is you overdosed on Cocaine, we found a deadly amount in your system." The doctor says. Fucking hell. Now the world thinks I'm a drug addict. River thinks. "We recremend rehab-" "I'm good." River says. "I was a bit spaced. I don't remember doing Coke. I'll be fine though, right Doc?" River grits his teeth. "I guess, Mr. Phoenix." The doctor shruged and left the room. "Coke? Really!" He hissed loud enough for his parents to hear, which was actually pretty low. Samantha walked into the room with Rain, Joaquin and Liberty. "You scared us half to death!" Samantha exclaims, giving River a hug. "Sorry! I totally don't recall taking a line but it happened. I really am sorry." He sighs. The group gives him a look. "You know you died, right?" Liberty snaps. Joaquin and Rain give her look telling her to shut up. "Oh. Eh, guess I'm better alive then dead." River shrugs. "It's not funny, Riv. You could've stayed dead." Joaquin replies. "Well I'm laying here, alive aren't I!" River snaps. "Guys." Samantha warns them. "You know your Summer's favourite, right? You nearly broke her heart. It's to the point where she won't even leave the house because she can't stop crying and so over come with greif-" Liberty starts. "It's fine." River cuts in. "I'm alive. That's what matters." Samantha nods at his words.
