It was a very peaceful and calm day, Light was hanging out with her best friend, Water.

"Have you heard? The Dark Kingdom is planning to start another war with your family!
Are you even prepared? Listen, I don't want you to die on me." Water said nervously.
"I did hear about it, but it can be rumors! Besides, I trained a while back so I think I'll be fine, if anything my dad probably won't even let me go near the fight." Light replied.
"Okay if you say so Light, speaking of dads, mine is calling me and I have to go, but we can hang out tomorrow! If you aren't busy or anything." Water said, standing up and grabbing her stuff to leave.
"No yeah of course! I'll see you tomorrow Water!" Light said happily.

Water then spread her water wings and flew off to her part of the kingdom.

Light quickly got bored without someone to accompany her, so she stood up and secretly left her kingdom, to an empty unclaimed land with a beautiful meadow, hills, flowers, and a cherry blossom tree.
Light gathered some flowers in a basket, like the nature lover she was.
"The Nature kingdom has been doing such a great job keeping our entire kingdom full of beautiful flowers! It gives it life." Light thought to herself, still picking flowers.

(Switching to Dark's part of the story.)

Dark had just finished training with his father, he was sore and tired that day so he was a bit unsteady the whole time.
Dark's father was strict about this, so without a doubt, he hit dark, several times thinking as if it would correct anything.
"You are a warrior! Act like it. When this war starts we will win son, and you will be the new king very very soon. NOW STAND UP AND CORRECT YOURSELF, YOU COWARD."
Dark stood up, trying not to make any other mistakes, he was used to this by now, but it still hurt him on the inside.
"Yes father, I'm sorry." He spoke with a softened voice because he knew if he yelled it would make everything worse.
"You are excused from training, you need time to think about your actions." Dark's father spoke, in a cold and firm tone.
Dark walked away, and as soon as he was out of his father's sight, he ran, tears forming in his eyes. He had also-ran to the unclaimed land, not knowing someone was already there, but he was too upset to even notice.
Dark finally made it to a stop underneath the cherry blossom tree, he put his back to it and hit it as hard as he could with his fist. He then covered his face letting the tears stream down his cheeks.
"God, I can't cry right now, this is just showing weakness, and if I do it's gonna make things worse." Dark thought, then he stood up, and in the distance, he could see a figure of all white.
He thought it was just a creature, and since he was so angry he threw his sword at it, not knowing it was a person.

( Back to another POV )

Light had her back turned, she was looking at some new plants and flowers she had never seen before, and for a split second when she turned back around she saw a sword coming full speed at her, she screamed and fell, out of a reflex.

Dark heard a scream and quickly regretted throwing the sword, he rushed over to where he threw his sword and saw it was not just a creature, it was a Light.

Light looked up a bit panicked, not knowing what had happened or where the sword came from.
Dark's eyes widened as he looked at the gal dressed in all white, on the floor next to a basket that had fallen, full of daisies, roses, and other flowers.
Light stared at him, knowing she couldn't talk to him or else she'd be in big trouble, but she was scared of him, and when she saw Dark take the sword back in his hand, she thought he was going to kill her.
Without thinking she blurted out, "Please don't hurt me! just let me go, I'll leave and never return to this area!"
Dark stares at her for a few moments, still processing everything.
"I wasn't planning to, because I don't care."
He replied to her.
"Oh, okay..sorry." Light apologized, getting very embarrassed.
Out of guilt, Dark lend a hand to the poor woman, which he had terrified.
Light took his hand and got up, quickly pulling her hand away and turning away from him.
Dark also looked away, realizing the stupid mistake he had done, and that he could get them both in serious trouble if anyone found out he had helped an enemy.
"I'm not supposed to talk to you..but my name is Light." Light shyly spoke, trying to make the situation less awkward.
"I'm Dark, it's nice to meet you I guess."
Dark replied.
Both of them trailed off, and talked for a bit until they both had to leave, otherwise they would most likely be looked for, and caught.

"It was nice meeting you Dark, and listen.
I know we are supposed to be enemies but..If you need anything you can always talk to me, this can be our meeting spot." Light said, giving him a warm smile of reassurance.

"Thanks, likewise Light." He waved goodbye and ran off, worried that his father knew he had gone missing.

Light was in shock, and couldn't believe she had spoken to a Dark, she was confused on why her family was being so competitive with his family.
She saw the good in Dark, and knew he didn't have any bad intentions at all, she was actually a bit saddened, he frankly seemed quite scared, angered, and confused,
But she obviously did not want to be pushy with someone she just met, so she decided to just let him go at his own pace, and talk to her when he was ready.
