There I was again, my head buried in my lap with my knees crunched up close to me trying to cover my ears. The noise from my parents downstairs, was getting to much for me. Ever since the night we came home from a family reunion, my dad has been so abusive to my mom and me followed by them arguing every night.
Me and my mom had no idea what triggered my dad to change like that. I finally heard my mums voice ringing through my ears. It's a long time since she's stuck up for herself.
"You know what? I've had enough! I'm leaving. I'm done!!"
My head shot over to my door, as I heard footsteps stomping up the stairs. I'm surprised my dad didn't just full on slap her. I mean, I don't want him to but that's what he would've done.
My door burst open and I saw my mom standing there, her mascara running down her face, as tears stinged the corner of her eyes.
"Come on Ariana, were leaving. Now." My mom said, running out of my room to hers as she started to pack a huge suitcase.
I didn't bother to hesitate to pack my own bag. As I was packing, I was quickly stopped by someone grabbing my shoulder and I felt a slight sting across my left cheek. My eyes blinded me by the sight as tears streamed down my face.
My dad stood there, with a dirty smirk on his face, and I knew he had a devilish plan.
"Your not going anywhere" He whispered harshly. My mom came in and she came over to my dad and screamed at him and slapped him.
"Let her go!" My mom yelled. My dad punched her right out, and that was the last thing I remembered before getting knocked out myself.
