My unique love

Chapter one

Something cold was suddenly poured on me making me get up from bed quickly. I looked up to see a smiling Samantha with a big bowl in her hands while smiling broadly.

"Did you have to pour cold water on me as I slept?" I shouted at her

"You don't have any right to question me whatsoever! This is my house and I do whatever I feel  like doing!" She shouted emptying the bowl on my head.

"You mean my mum's house?" I whispered while getting up.

"What did you say?" Samantha asked while pulling me towards her! "Do you know who I am?"

"Of course I know you are dad's other woman!" I said calmly although I knew that I was inviting more trouble on my side.

She hit me hard  on the head with a bowl but all I did was laugh! Samantha got angry and started hitting me hard on the face as I laughed more without trying to defend myself.

Moments later, dad walked in and saw what Samantha was doing to me and held her hand. This seemed to shock her.

"You mean you are defending her"

Dad  smiled at her and walked towards me!

"How many times have I warned you against doing anything that upsets your mother." He asked looking at me sternly but I folded my arms on the chest and looked at him in the eyes.

"You mean my mum? As In the one you killed?"

I saw his face turn pale at the mention of that but he quickly hid that.

He slapped me hard on the face making me fall on the floor but as usual I didn't cry but instead, I got up and faced them again.

"Why don't you just kill me  like you did to mum?"

Samantha wanted to hit me again but dad stopped her.

"If she goes out in bruises, people will begin doubting us." He turned to me and shouted,"you have ten minutes to get dressed and be ready for school! "

And with that, they both left.

I quickly rushed to the bathroom ignoring all the pain that I was feeling. I was starting the term  in a new school so I didn't want to be late.

After showering and putting on my uniform, I walked out of my room with my bag at hand and headed to the kitchen.

I prepared myself some coffee but as I was about to drink it, dad took it off me and poured it all in the sink.

"You don't get any breakfast as long as you keep on rebelling June!" He said coolly as Samantha giggled next to him.

This was going to be the second day to go without eating anything but I was okay.

Samantha took the car key that used to be mum's and ordered me to follow her!

I slowly followed as dad remained in the house!

In the car, Samantha played some boring music which made me put it off.

"How dare you put my music off!"

I looked at her smiling and calmly said

"I already dared Samantha! Now do what you want to do to me because dad is not around and trust  me, you will not  like the results!"

She quickly looked away and started the car while complaining

"I wish I could kill you!" She said anger all over her face.

"I know Samantha! I know but don't worry, I'll make sure to kill you before you kill me so that we could end this once and for all.

Everything else that she was saying fell in deaf ears as I remembered my mum. She was such a beautiful and kind woman but since karma was against my happiness, her  life was brought to a sudden end.
