It was getting harder to breath. Every ounce of my body ached as it pushed further than it ever has before. I didn't do it. I swear. It wasn't me. Why would I do it, why would I hurt them?  Tears pushed out of my eyes as my legs took me further. The guards were hot on my tail as I zig zagged through streets and alleyways. I was framed! Framed! Me! I growled under my breath as I ran. This fucking society, I swear.

"Hey stop girl!" I breathed heavy as I turned to see double the amount of guards chasing me now. My heart dropped as I tried to run further. My lungs were on fire and my legs were about to snap off, but I know I couldn't get caught. I knew what would happen if I do. I'd be dead, no longer here. Its under the new Caesar's rules. No matter how much I say it isn't me, he won't care.

I ran further and further turning more and more corners until... shit. Dead end. I started to panic and turned around to run out of the alley to see the guards guarding my path. I'm fucked. They swarmed me one by one getting closer and closer. Suddenly, I was tackled to the ground. My face planted into the concrete cutting it in the process. My body ached as I was flattened.

"You girl, you are now under arrest by the power of the holy Caesar." I almost scoffed at his words. Holy?! He was a monster. The years my family and friends have struggled underneath him and you call him holy. But it doesn't matter now, all that matters is I make it out alive. I won't let you down. I was soon hoisted up onto my feet and my wrists were shackled in cold, hard metal. The guard gave the metal chain a tug and we started walking to the castle. Now that everything took it's toll the tears streamed down hard. Everything's gone. Everyone's gone.

We soon made it to the palace and I was pulled towards the dark stairs. We took our decent as I took a breath filled with the smell of rotten blood and vomit. It was dark down here, dark and depressing. I was pushed into the cell causing me to trip and once again land on the floor. "Get up you rat. Stop playing." The guard grouched out as I was flung up. He soon transferred the chain to the wall and walked out.

I soon slid onto the ground holding my knees as I wept. It's only me now. I cried myself to sleep not long after.

Soon a ray of light shone through the cells. I winced my eyes closed as I struggled to pull myself up due to hunger and fatigue. The clicking of metal caught my attention as I found where the light came from. The clicking of metal was none other than keys. They soon opened up my cell, letting me release my breath. Were they finally letting me go? I thought of all the positive things that could happen, but I never expected the punch that landed in my stomach.
