HARLEY'S POV
"Tony?" I called out after knocking on the door of a house into which Tony had apparently moved after the snap.
FLASHBACK
The cause of my problems were the same as so many others'. The snap.
Someone, no something, from outer space had collected some sort of stones to wipe out half of the population. And though I was one of the people who didn't vanish, my mother and sister did. I spent all of my mother's money and tried to sell everything I now owned to get food. But it wasn't easy as there were many sellers but barely any buyers.
Now one year later, after another futile attempt at selling something, I saw something shiny on the ground. It was a limited edition Dora the Explorer watch, now broken.
That's when I remembered. Tony Stark A.K.A Iron Man. I remembered how hard it was for him to cope up after fighting with the aliens, so this time, when half of the world has vanished even after him trying to stop it, I didn't even want to imagine how much worse it would be this time.
So, I went to the Avengers' Tower, hoping that Tony would remember me from when I had met him and that I could comfort him... Okay, maybe I also wanted his help to survive. But I did care about him even though I barely knew him.
When I came there, asked for Tony and introduced myself, a famous scientist called Bruce Banner, who had heard about me from Tony gave me his address.
FLASHBACK OVER
So, here I was.
A blond lady opened the door confused to see a scrawny and cold teenage boy. But she couldn't be blamed. I mean if I was in her place, I would have probably slammed the door on my face. But thankfully she didn't.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Harley. From Tennessee. I want to meet Tony."
She hesitated a bit and then called out, "Tony! There is a kid on the door asking for you!"
Tony came out holding an infant. I wondered whether it was his.
At first he was confused. Then he identified me.
"Harley? Is that really you?"
"Yes."
"Ho-Wha-. How did you find me?"
"Know the famous scientist, Bruce Banner, the one with exceptional researches in the field of gamma radiation? Of course you know him. Well I went to the Avengers' Towers hoping to find you, but rather I found him. He told me that you had told him about me long time ago and gave me this address."
"Woah! Slow down kid. Is everything okay? Why were you hoping to find me?"
That's when I finally broke down.
He gave the child in his arm to the blondie and hugged me.
I must say that it was something new. No-one except my sister had ever hugged me. That made me cry even more. The hug was surprisingly comforting. He took me inside and when I felt fine I explained how one year ago my sister and mother vanished leaving me to survive on my own.
After giving me some food, Tony took me to a room and told me to sleep while he made some permanent arrangements for me. I thanked him and felt full for the first time in an year.
