The house wasn't that far down the road about a fifteen minute walk. People had managed to grab most of the food, a punch bowl, the cups, a few kegs of beer, and all of the alcohol. Mia also noticed as they were walking someone had managed to grab a boombox as well.

The house they stopped at was made of greying wood and was four stories up not including the walk-in attic. There was a wrap around porch that led down to an aged and sturdy dock in the back. The whole thing was hidden in ominous trees and set on a hill. The boy with the sandy hair yelled ahead of the still moving crowd and Amia could barely see him kick down the front door. A wave of cheering pushed through the small mass of people and they started filtering inside.

Weirdly when Mia and Reese entered, pre-set candles were already covering the floor and a guy was setting up the boombox in the corner. Within seconds music was flowing through the house's inards. Reese smiled jubilantly at Mia as the party got underway again.

Furniture was layered first with dust and then with a white sheet casting ghostly silouhettes around the room. A high chandelier went up three stories, a staircase swirling around it.

"This is nice," Mia commented. "Creepy, but nice."

"Yeah, it's kind of cool. I wonder how long it's just been sitting here."

Mia looked around. "I don't know."

A girl came over then with scarlet hair curled to perfection. Her dress was if possible even tighter and shorted than Mia's. She had an annoying whiny voice and clung to Reese as if he was a possession. "Reese," she whined. "Why haven't you come to see me yet? Why did I have to come find you?"

He gave her the same apologetic smile he often gave Amia, but Mia could see there was a slight annoyance behind it. "I haven't really had time." He placed a hand over the one she had on his shoulder and she absolutely melted, until her eyes fell on Mia and they became suspicious.

"Who's she?" She griped.

"This is my friend Mia." He gestured at Mia removing his hand from the girl's and recieving an unseen scowl. "Mia this is Veronica."

Amia smiled at Veronica, not recieving one back. Veronica moved in front of Reese wrapping her arms around his neck and hanging off of him. Mia watched as Reese tried to struggle from her grasp.

"Uh," he cleared his throat. " I-I need some air." He pushed Veronica away and walked off. Veronica watched him walk a few seconds before leaping after him.

"Reese! Reese wait!" and she trotted away.

With Reese gone Mia didn't really have much to do so she decided to park herself on a filthy couch and watch the people around her, sipping her drink. They were terrible dancers she thought with all their thrusting and grinding. She would never perform such vulgar moves on somebody in public.

She was scanning the crowd of mingling people hoping that there might be someone she slightly knew that she could try and strike a conversation with when an overwhelming stench of alcohol drifted to her nose. She looked behind her to see Red with a stupid grin plastered on his face.

"Hey," he breathed. Mia nearly gagged from his proximity. He came around the couch and settled himself beside her, wrapping his arm around her.

"Uh, Red," she gently plucked his arm from her shoulders. "You're really drunk and I'm not so sure you or I want anything we'd regret to happen tonight so why don't you go try and flirt with someone else." Mia turned from him hoping to make her point, but his deep chuckle was very near her ear.

"Nonsense, I'm a little tipsy maybe but not much." Amia could feel his hot breath on her neck and cringed away.

"Um, okay, um, I'm not completely comfortable with this situation so I'm going to go now." Mia hopped up fast, deciding to go to the little girls room as far away from Red as she could get.
