Prologue
As I walked through the woods, I couldn’t help but think about why it happened and how. Why did she leave and why so suddenly? I found my secret little opening in the woods and lay in the grass to stare up at the sky.The stars gleamed down at me, staring just as much as I was. They were bright and beautiful, just like her eyes.
I thought she said she loved me, but when I finally told her my secret she freaked out and left. Just because I'm not human doesn’t mean I don’t feel pain. No, I'm not human, what am I? Well, I'm not exactly sure what I am yet, but I know it's not human. But lots of people aren't human nowadays, what's so wrong with that? I mean, yes I may be 200 years and only look 18, but still is it really that damn hard to deal with?
I don't really think so.
But anyway, my name is Wade, and I am not human.
