Maleek's POV

The next day everyone was busy with packing because later on we will be leaving to sharada and so I didn't get the chance to talk to fariha.

I pray she listens.

Today Yahya is coming from Kaduna with his family and salim who bears our grandfather's name Bashir, he happens to be living in kano with his family, and they will all be going to sharada.

Wasa wasa fa Dada is an old woman with 7 grandkids 4 from Yahya, 2 from saleem and one from Rahama.

Leaving my room I head to the kitchen for a bottle of water, I entered and there standing by the counter is fariha

She was so engrossed in making her sandwich that she hadn't noticed me.

I opened the fridge and that's when she noticed me, with a nonchalant look she look away and continue her task.

I did my business and proceed out of the kitchen when I remembered I need to talk to her.

I stand beside her and she gave me a brief look and continue what she was doing.

I know she wouldn't talk to me and so I initiated a conversation.

"Hey, what are you doing".

Way to go maleek, I mentally smack my head, add your name to the list of the most stupid people this year.

Obviously she is making a sandwich, that's even a dumb question.

She looked at me and raise her eyebrow in a way that says 'duh, can't you see, or are you blind'

I muttered a sorry and think of another way.

By that time she was already done.

Maleek just say it!!

She was about to go out the door when I stop her.

"Fariha we need to talk"

She stop in her tracks, and I took it as a cue to go on.

"Why do you keep ignoring me?"

She still has her back to me.

I took a deep breath.

"......look fariha I know I made some mistakes in my life that cannot be undone, but that didn't mean you have to ignore me, am after all, human"

Still no reply.

"I know is unforgettable but trust me you wouldn't want to be in my shoes it's not easy". I replied giving a thought to my sad and lonely life.

She till hasn't turn and no reply too.

"Fariha......

"Enough, that's enough, I want to hear no more".

She turn around and all I can see is rage.

"Mistake.... Is that what you called it, a mistake which was repeated neither once nor twice but a hundred times, is that what you called a mistake, even a dumb donkey won't do what you're doing, you did something more than countable times and at the end of the day you call it a mistake, you have no excuse for what you did, so quit calling it a mistake" she hissed.

She really compared me to a dumb donkey!!

"You really hurt her, you broke her, she is very innocent yet you manage to manipulate her, she was close to getting depressed, and it's all your fault" she replied through gritted teeth.

"You're an irresponsible human being, a jerk who didn't know anything, I bet that's why your Father banned you from......

And at that I had enough, how dare she! That's my business and no one else's.
