"Really?! Alesso?"

Diana nodded and took a small sip of her drink."Oh yeah, but that was a long time ago."

"But you never dated, right?" I asked, looking at her intently, the news of her childhood-crush on my boyfriend's brother still coming as quite of a shock. Apparently they had met a couple of times when they were younger.

"Oh god, no. I was like...ten. It was just a crush, I doubt he even noticed me, you know other than when he was forced to show me around their mansion."

"Did you ever meet James?"

She paused and thought for a second. "Sometimes, but he was thirteen years older than me so I never really talked with him. He was pushed into the whole mafiaboss position very early, but it suited him well. He had always been a serious guy." She explained.

"He's still a serious guy, so I can see that. Hopefully he'll open up more, I've never had the guts to ask him about his father. His mom told me how devastated he was when he died." I said, thinking back to our conversation. James had become more talkative and open to me during our relationship, but now that I think about it, I know almost nothing about his family's history.

"Alesso took it the hardest, if I remember correctly. He was younger, after all."

Something, or rather someone, drew my attention from the corner of my eye. I turned my head and entering the room was James, accompanied by Theodore and Alesso.

"Speaking of whom." I said and took another sip of the champagne in my hand while both of us watched the three men. James and I had gone around to greet everyone earlier, but then Alesso came and stole him for almost fifteen minutes. So Diana and I returned to the bar.

"I think it's cute that you had a crush on him, I mean as long as you don't feel anything for him now, of course." I cocked a questionable brow her way.

"God, no. I already have my man, and he's way too immature." She shook her head and brushed away some non-existing crumbs on her dress. She then relocated her gaze to the people around us.

My eyes wandered over the two brothers. To be only a couple of years in between, there was some definite differences in their way of acting and in their appearances. James was more mature and bigger built, while Alesso hadn't really reached that place despite being only eight years younger.
