This is an intro to Blush V 2. If you've read Blush V 1 you might be able to tell the difference between my writing towards the ending. I add depth to my one shots and I give my characters their moment to tell their stories. Which leads to the reason you all probably even read this type of stuff anyway. However I am an author and though it takes me such a long time to produce the content, I am very immersed in my characters. I know that most of you enjoy the storytelling because you guys want me to make actual books out of them.
So this leads me to Perl. I didn't expect for this at all to turn out the way it did, and I was beating myself up on if this was worthy enough to even be posted. Because I just felt like it didn't fit at all, I'm like this is about love and feels and stuff like this is not Blush. However, writing this made me happy. Just to be able to just tell a story that is like so capturing in my opinion makes me so proud because it really took its own turn, and sprouted this. It gives me major feels, and it may not be what you were expecting as an intro, but understand that I'm placing it here for a reason.
This is the Jaysin from V1 this is NOT the Jaysin from Oil and Water. Think of these versions of the charters as apart of another universe. They have their similarities, but also are very different so don't get it confused lol. Thank you for reading. Sorry about the long author notes, give me a comment if you're here! And you're ready! Perl
"So what are you thinking about?" I stared at the ceiling blankly. My mind was actually vacant of any thoughts. Perla turned to lay flat on her stomach and rested her head on my stomach instead. "You seem focused." She pried, I hated it. I never told her how much I didn't like it though...so I couldn't really hold it against her. Still however, I continued to ignore her, as I wanted to just enjoy the quiet, everything within me at this moment was at peace. "Hey?" She disturbed me once more. Her voice sounded unsure and she was growing anxious, finally giving in to her persistence my eyes glanced down. Lilac locks of hair twisted with her sudden urge to look at me from her position. She felt relief upon my acknowledgment, I watched through a squint as she smiled. The sight of it warmed me...I could tell that she felt safe now.
"Why aren't you saying anything to me?" Her eyeliner matched the color of her hair, and her eyelashes batted with uncertainty. Perla looked beautiful today, but I didn't ease her worries with words; and soon her brows furrowed, and she raised herself in a haste. Digging her weight and her elbow into the center of my abdomen, which was quite uncomfortable.
Gently...it fell...over her bare shoulder...Perla' beautiful straight hair...
"Jaysin...why do you do this to me every time?" So many questions, packed with a problematic cocktail full of emotions. Yet despite all of this...I didn't give her what she wanted...an answer. My eyes didn't wander from her though, she had my direct attention but it wasn't good enough, she wanted it all or nothing. She was more sad than she was angry...Perla has been around for the majority of my life so I could easily catch on to the small tells she provides. Like how her nose twitched...and her lips would begin to purse and quiver...like they were now.
