WINFREY POV:

"Oh okay thanks.."

I said. I grabbed Avery's hand  and headed out the back.

"Winfrey.. it's late we should go.."

Avery whispered.

"No. I'm going to find her!"

I said determined as I approached a house. Me and Avery eventually knocked on almost all the houses in the street.. none of them knew where my mom  was, and some of them just yelled at us to go away.

We got up to the last house. It was white and blue, like most of the houses in this neighborhood.. Avery sighed and walked up to the front porch.

I looked around the house and up at the window.. I saw a boy walk past it then a woman. They both then sat down and began to talk, I studied the woman's features. Her h/c hair, Her e/c eyes, and her beautiful face..

I sighed then looked back  at Avery who was talking to the man at the porch. I hadn't even noticed that's she had knocked on the door..

"I'm sorry to disturb you mr afton, but have you seen a woman by the name y/n l/n?.."

Avery asked

"No. now leave it's late.."

He said his tone harsh.

"Sorry sir."

Avery said then turned to me.

"We should go, I'm tired.."

"Fine.."

——-the next morning——

Y/N POV:

"See you later Micheal!"

I waved.

The door closed and the house was empty. At least I thought..

"Hello love."

A familiar voice said, and someone grabbed my waist. I  turned around and cupped Williams cheeks. I gave him a small peck on the lips.

"Oh come on now.."

He said as he pulled me into a soft kiss.

"Aren't you supposed to be taking Micheal to school?."

I asked. I pulled away I crossed my arms over my chest and looked at him my eyebrows raised.

"I forgot my keys."

William said, he then picked up his car keys from the table then He walked out the door.

Now the house was empty..

I walked to the living room and sat down on the couch. I turned on the tv but failed to focus on the show That was playing. I couldn't stop thinking about something, I had this feeling that something was about to happen..

I finally snapped out of my thoughts, hearing someone was knocking at the door I got up and walked over, I hesitated, but I opened it anyways.

"Um hello miss, sorry to disturb you, but have you seen a woman by the name y/n l/n?"

The girl asked.

I gasped as I stared at her,

Was that? Winfrey?...

"That's me.. w-Winfrey?"

"Mom?.."

——

"Whoa mom.. you look so different, it's just been two weeks.."

She said

"Yeah.. it's been hectic for me. And I can't really leave, or else I'll risk both of our lives,"

I sighed in disappointment.

"William aftons really a bad guy huh, I always did have a bad feeling about him.."

She said, I gave her a small smile and she furrowed her brows.

"Mom why are you smiling!? You shouldn't be smiling about a man who took your freedom for you!"

She almost yelled.

"Winfrey.."

I picked up a pen and paper from the table we were sitting at.

"Write down your friends house number on here."

I gave her the paper. She wrote down the number and looked up at me.

"Mom what are you doing?."

"Listen carefully Winfrey.."

I grabbed her wrists

"Turn around, walk through the front door.. and run, run as fast as you can, got it?.."

I said softly, she tilted her head but nodded. She quickly turned around and ran through the door.

I got up and closed the door then sighed.

Where did I go wrong?....
