Father, why'd you leave me?

"Hey son.. promise me you'll be strong."
This was the last thing I heard from my absent father. It's almost been 10 years since my father's sudden disappearance, a very sad 10 years too. Every time I think about all-might I think about my father. They both had a similar jawline and eyebrows, and that's kind of why my mother's been so interested in him whenever they meet. It's been way longer since I've seen my dad. Today's his birthday, or would be if he were still here.
"Izuku!"
I heard his mom screaming from the other room
"Come in here and have breakfast!"
"Coming!" I yelled back.
I ran down the stairs to have breakfast, and saw pancakes and bacon waiting for me on the table.
"Pancakes" I said softly. Pancakes were my father's favorite.
"Yes Izzy, I know we don't usually have them, but there's been pancake mix sitting in our pantry for a while now, and they're gonna expire soon."
I wondered if this was a coincidence or not, considering that today's the first time we had pancakes in years.
"I'm not very hungry right now.." I half lied. Thinking about my dad was making me ill, but I still hadn't eaten in over 12 hours.
"Maybe I can eat this later?"
"Sure thing honey" said my mom. I'm sure she caught onto the fact I was lying, but she probably feels the same way too.
"You should probably get to school now. You'll almost miss the train."
"Oh my god I forgot this was a Monday! Bye mom, love you!" I started running to reach the station so I wouldn't be late again. These past few days haven't been the best for me considering it's that time of year again. Every year I except him to come back through the front door during dinner, and for us to continue our lives as they were before he left. As if none of this had ever happened. I don't even know if I could do that. Forgive him for leaving and forget about it. He left me fatherless for almost a decade! As I reach the train station, I see todoroki sitting at the bench.
"Hey, todoroki!" I exclaimed. It's always a nice distraction to see a friend when you don't expect to.
"Oh, midoriya, you ride this train?"
"Yup, every day, 5 days a week!" I proudly exclaim, not knowing why I'm so proud about it. It's actually kind of sad that I ride a train every day when others get to ride their bikes, or even live close enough to the school that they can walk. "Why are you sitting here todi, you usually just... wait how do you get to school?" I ask. I can't believe I didn't know how my own bestie gets to school. "Uhhhhhh, I totally don't make ice stairs like Elsa." he says.
"What's Elsa?" I say.
"Nothing, nothing." He says. I can tell he's worried. *notice that deku doesn't get the frozen reference as he's uncool*
"Izuku.... I'm here because I'm gonna go visit my mom." Todo says. I'm exited for him!
"That's great! Tell her I said hi!" I say.
"I can't deku! Just leave me alone!" He says.
"uwu I'm so sowwy todi! I say. Wait why'd I phrase it like that?"
"Oh my god deku! Stop saying these things! This is why I left!" Todoroki says. Or at least he looks like todoroki.
"Dad??!?!?" I say.
"What?" Says todoroki. "I only said I would say hi to her. She might be getting out of the mental hospital soon! I can't wait to have my mom back!"
"Oh.. I must have spaced out. I didn't mean to say anything." I say.
"Are you ok midoriya? You seem kinda out of it."
"Yeah, sure I'm fine, I don't really wanna talk about it." I'm lying when I say that of course. I would die for someone to talk to, but I wouldn't wanna ruin todoroki's amazing mood with my problems. He's about to get his mom back! Why would I wanna waste his energy on me when it doesn't really matter.
We ride the bus together until I have to get off for school. I guess he gets a pass today since he's seeing his mom.
I start walking to the school, but something grabs me from the side. By reflex, I punch it using my quirk.
"Aaaaah!" Screams all might. A crowd gathers around us since they heard the number one hero screaming. Once I hit him, his grip weakened and I was able to escape. I'm sure he had an important reason for pulling me aside,(literally) but by now there's too many people here to talk.
"I..... need to talk to this student here... about his grades! Yeah his grades! He's failing almost all of his classes and I don't think I see a future for him. We need to talk now to get him back on track. Let's go to my office, you troublemaker!" He says. I guess I deserve it for punching him in the face. I hit him so hard that my hand is now broken, so we have to go to recovery girl's office. While we're walking. I can't help but notice how similar his eyebrows are to my dad's. I keep staring at his eyebrows until he notices. He gives me a weird look, but I look away halfway through from embarrassment. I don't want him to think I'm weird.
"So.. uh, midoriya.." all might says.
"Yes all might?"
"I just wanted to ask you something...." he says oddly. I wonder what it is. Could he want me to be his sidekick, does he have a surprise for me, is he gonna tell me he found my dad?!?
"Well.. uh. It's a kind of interesting question." He says. I've been waiting so long for this moment! Being a sidekick to all might would be awesome!
"Uhhh, kid. Your mom and I kinda met eachother at the grocery store yesterday. She saw me transform back. I'm gonna need to you uh, arrange a meeting for us secretly. I have to talk to her to be sure she won't tell anyone, otherwise I'll have to kill her." He says.
"K-k-kill my mom?"
"No no I was kidding. I'd only imprison her, but we have to talk or else I'll take her to jail anyways."
"Okay! I'll do that right now!" I say.
"Don't mention anything about the prison or what we need to talk about, just say it's urgent. Got it?"
"Sure thing all might! I say." I'm sure it's important for all might that his identity stays secret. Nobody can know that he's not strong all the time.
I head over to recovery girl and she heals my first. I can see all might in the corner of my eye smiling. I'm sure he's relieved about the whole situation. That's why he's smiling, I'm sure of it.
The school day goes by really fast. We had a substitute the whole day, and she didn't really know what to do. She just told us to fight eachother outside or something. I'm sure she'd get payed either way. I ended up fighting bakugo, and I won. We weren't allowed to use our quirks, so as he usually relies on it, and I hadn't gotten mine until recently, I'm more used to it.
I rode the bus home and saw my mom sitting on our front porch waiting for me. I remember that I have to tell her something.
"Hey mom.... all might says he had to meet with you." I tell her.
"Oh!" She says. She looks a lot happier when I tell her this. She starts smiling in the same way all might was earlier.
"Tell him to pick me up at 8!" She says.
"Oh, he said 7:30 tonight." I say.
"You're being serious? Today? I'm gonna go upstairs now sweetie." She says. She must be getting ready for their meeting. I go upstairs to take a nap. I'm upset still about my dad, but at least my mom doesn't seem so sad about it any more. She comes down an hour later. Ah head a full face of makeup on and she's dressed up all fancy.
"Wow mom, you look great!" I say. She really does! She put a lot of work into her look. A whole hour of doing her hair, makeup, nails, and finding an outfit. She smells strongly of perfume.
"Thanks hun, he's coming in like an hour, right? I've gotta tidy the house real quick!" She says. This reminds me that I need to take down a couple of my posters from my room real quick. I clean them up, and the pictures of all might's thick thighs and jawline are tossed into my closet. 
Once he arrives, it seems like he's dressed up too. They both smile and laugh until she gets into his arms and he starts flying away to talk to her. I bet that's fun, flying in all might's arms. I decide to go out for a walk. It's a beautiful night tonight, and I'm sure it'll cure my sadness. I see my local grocery store, and remember we need a few things, I'll also get some supplies for cake. I want to surprise my mom and all might when they get back to our house. I get our usual household supplies, and then I head up to the dairy isle to get milk and eggs for the cake. I notice someone nearby who seems unusually familiar. I grab the milk and get a good look at his face. It can't be.. can it?
"Oh! Hello sir! You look a lot like someone I know, could you be.." I was interrupted.
"No! I keep running into people who think I'm all might! We may have a similar jawline and eyebrows but I'm not him, okay young man!" he says. My dad had similar eyebrows and a jawline to all might. Wait, is this my dad?! "Dad?!?" I say. The expression on his face changes instantly. He went from annoyed to excited. "Izuku! My baby! I haven't seen you in almost 10 years! I heard you got into UA, and then I watched you on tv for the sports festival, and... you did amazing! I'm so proud of you!" he says. I'm surprised he's happy to see me, especially after leaving for so long. "Dad, are you coming home soon?" I ask. Maybe he is..
"Sorry son, you'll have to ask your mother. I'm gonna need to see her again soon. I'll see you around I'm sure, I'm gonna be in town for another month at least."
"Ok, I just have one question to ask you."
"Yes son?"
"Father, why'd you leave me?"
