Seungmin flopped on Jisung's couch with a bowl of popcorn held firmly in his arms. A few popcorns had flown onto Jisung's couch and the blonde boy scoffed loudly. "Seungminnie stop getting food all over my couch!" Jisung whined as he picked up Seungmin's mess.
Seungmin stuffed his mouth with popcorn as he furrowed his brows at Jisung. "It's just popcorn Sung. It won't leave a stain."
Jisung grimaced as he fled over to the trash can to throw out the popcorn. "Could you not talk with your mouth full?"
Seungmin opened his mouth for Jisung to see, which was filled with chewed up popcorn. Jisung ran to Seungmin to close his mouth. "Ew, you're so nasty!"
Seungmin grinned, knowing he had mildly triggered his best friend.
The younger popped a few popcorns in his mouth before speaking. "What's up with you today? You seem so tense."
Jisung only shook his head as he folded his arms. Memories from years ago and merely hours ago of Minho flashed before his eyes on a constant loop. His mind could never seem to break away from the topic of his old crush. "I'm just...thinking about it again."
Seungmin reached forward to turn off the TV and he sat back on the couch, feasting on his popcorn once again. "The Minho thing?"
Jisung nodded as he pursed his lips. "Ever since I released my song about him, he's popped up in my life twice. In the span of a week too! He's left my life since he graduated yet somehow he's been placed back into it. Great timing of him, I guess." Jisung folded his arms and slumped on his couch, mumbling the snarky comment underneath his breath.
Seungmin nodded, listening to his best friend purge on his feelings. "I think it's quite odd he's suddenly popping up everywhere you go."
"Hey this is partly your fault!" Jisung accused, pointing a finger at his best friend.
Seungmin furrowed his brows and held his hands up in defense. "What did I do?" He whined.
"You invited me to his dance show!"
"How was I supposed to know he danced with Hyunjin?" Seungmin shot back.
Jisung fell quiet as Seungmin continued. "Do you really think I'd allow you near him on purpose?"
Jisung shook his head like a child in shame, not wanting to speak against his parent whom he knew was right. "That's what I thought. You know me better than that Sung."
"Don't you just," Jisung sighed as he sat up on the couch. "Don't you wonder if he knows who I am? That he knows it's about him?"
Seungmin scoffed and broke into fits of laughter which made Jisung slightly angry. "What are you laughing for?"
"Jisung, trust me. He has no clue." Seungmin snorted as he continued to giggle.
The older rolled his eyes. "And how exactly do you know that?"
"Let's just say Hyunjin told me what Minho had to say about his experience meeting the 'talented, funny, and extremely adorable' J. One." Seungmin popped some popcorns into his mouth. Jisung's cheeks flushed the color of rose petals, those that were freshly cut and bunched together for a bouquet.
Jisung scrambled towards the edge of his seat. "Oh my god he said that about me?" His smile broke out from ear to ear, his teeth shining like pearls in the ocean.
"Yeah apparently." Seungmin pushed the popcorn bowl away as he sat back on the couch. "Hyunjin said he couldn't stop blushing."
"M-Maybe it was hot in the room they were talking in." Jisung meekly said, not wanting to get his hopes up in the situation.
"Possibly but doubtful, you're kind of a celebrity."
"3RACHA isn't very big Seungmin, there's nothing for him to be gawking over."
"Yeah but you guys have a decent following. Honestly Jisung, I think if he knew who you were, he would've come out and said it. As for the song thing, I think it happens to be a freaky coincidence."
"Or maybe God is testing me." Jisung mumbled to himself.
"Jisung, I really think you don't have anything to worry about. These things happen all the time."
These things do not happen all the time! How often can you say you wrote a song about your unrequited love for someone, and they pop up a few days after you release it when they have no clue who you are except for your idol counterpart?
However, Jisung only nodded his head in a small manner, not wanting to keep the conversation going. But deep down, his gut was telling him this was no coincidence. Maybe Minho really had no clue who Jisung was, but he had a feeling settling in his stomach that destiny was setting him up for something impactful. If Jisung was honest, it scared him a bit. He wasn't sure if it scared him that he felt something big coming for him or that he thought Minho would be involved.
"Here let's watch something." Seungmin swiftly changed the subject, thinking he laid it to rest. "Yeah sure, put on whatever you want."
"Kitchen nightmares it is!"
"How can you put that on while you eat? It just makes me sick." Jisung shivered at the thought.
"You can't handle real entertainment then." Seungmin playfully rolled his eyes as he turned on the show. The boys sat in silence for a while, Seungmin's attention undivided at the television while Jisung's attention span was completely worn thin.
"Ew, I don't understand how these owners passed the cleanliness tests- hey Jisung what are you thinking about?"
"Minho still." Jisung replied plainly. I know I wanted to drop the subject but it just won't leave my head.
"If you're so stuck on him, why don't you 'ask him out?'" Seungmin chuckled at his actions.
Jisung laughed nervously, anxiety bubbling up in his stomach at Seungmin's attempt at a joke. "No of course not! I don't feel anything for him anymore!" Jisung violently shook his head, trying to get his point across. "Nothing at all."
Seungmin turned back towards the TV, which presented Gordon Ramsay screaming at a manager for their disgusting kitchen. "Good. Lee Minho is a jackass."
Jisung's heart fell into shambles after hearing Seungmin's strong distaste for Minho. As usual though, Jisung agreed for the sake of saving an argument. "You got that right."
