A Summer To Temember

Chapter 8

"I work until 4pm, and then I might have plans tonight, but I'll be home after work for a bit before going out again" I say to my mom as I'm eating my breakfast at the counter "oh with who?" She asks, just trying to be a nosey mom like always.

"The new guy that moved in next door, his name is Cameron" I say taking another bite of my toast.

"Oh good, you're making friends, well I'd love to meet him sometime" she says "yea, we went surfing yesterday, and we might get together for a drink or something tonight" "oohhh 2 days in a row" she says in a giggly voice. "Well, actually 3" say and I stand up and put my plate in the sink.

"I gotta go" I say quickly, hoping my mom doesn't ask any more questions.

I check my phone and still not text back from Cameron, he must be sleeping still.

While sitting at my desk, I hear my phone beep. We technically aren't supposed to be on our phones at work, but my boss is so easy going, as long as I get all my shit done, she doesn't care if I send a text or two.
I grab it out of my bag and I see it's a text from Cameron. 'I was thinking about it before I went to bed too ;)' 

Hmm he was thinking about me last night.

One of my close friends, and coworkers Riley walks over to my desk "plans tonight?" She asks "yes, hot date" I say smiling. "Ooh tell me everything" she says stepping closer to me inside my little cubical.

"Well he just moved in next door, and we've already had a few hot make out sessions, but no proper date yet" I say "do you want a proper date, or is this like a 'friends with benefits' kinda thing?" She asks. I smile and think to myself for a moment. "It would be nice to go on a date with him, but he is so good looking, I'm not gonna say no when he wants to get naked" I say laughing quietly.

4pm rolls around and I log off my work computer. "Enjoy your evening" Riley calls out as I walk towards the door. I wave at her and say "I'll see you tomorrow" and head outside.

'Just leaving work, what's the plan tonight?' I text Cameron. I put my phone back in my purse and drive home.

I pull into my parents driveway and I check my phone. 'Come over after dinner, 7pm' 'see you later' I type then I head inside.

"Dinner will be ready in about 20 minutes" I hear my mom call out from the kitchen "sounds good" I say then I head up to my room.

What does he have planned for tonight, are we going out somewhere or staying at his place? What do I wear?

Jeans and cute tank top, that way I'm prepared for anything.
