Y/n dropped to the floor and screamed out with tears streaming down her face.

"Stay with me! Don't close your eyes! Its going to be okay." Said Y/n, eyes filling with water.

"I love you Y/n."

"I love you too. This isn't how it's going to end. You aren't leaving me!" Cried Y/n.

*At the Firehouse*

Boden had put the Firehouse back in service and had just gotten a call.

Ambulance 61, GSW to the lower abdomen. Location: warehouse 32 down by the North Side waterfront.

Sylvie and Violet got into the ambulance and sped off, sounding their sirens and flashing the lights.

"Thats where Y/n and Antonio are." Said Slyvie worried.

"Hey. Its going to be okay. We can't let feelings get in the way though." Said Violet.

They drove down to warehouse 32 and saw Y/n bent over a body pushing down on the lower abdomen.

*At Chicago Med*

"We have a GSW coming in, 2 minutes out. Dr Choi I need you for this. Dr Halstead,you take Choi's patient." Shouted Maggie.

"Why can't I take the case?" Asked Will.

"It's too close to home." Said Maggie.

Sylvie and Violet brought in the gurney.

Sylvie explained the patient's details. "Adult, Male, GSW to the Lower abdomen. No internal bleeding as far as we can see."

"Name?" Asked Dr Choi.

"Hank Voight." Said Sylvie.

Y/n came in after and stood outside his room whilst Dr Choi was dealing with him.

"Stats are dropping!" Shouted Dr Choi.

"Get Y/n away from the door. She doesn't need to see this!" Shouted Maggie.

Jay touched Y/n's arm and tried to pull her away.

"We're losing him!" Shouted Dr Choi.

Dr Choi started compressions. Hank's arm dropped off the bed and was hanging lifeless. His chest had stopped rising and the machine was beeping. It was ringing through Y/n's ears, the only thing she could hear. Memories flashed in and out of her mind. From the first time she learnt to ride a bike to her 13th Birthday. They went on a holiday to the the Maldives and went scuba diving. Hank had gotten a jellyfish stuck on his mask and Y/n freaked out after having a crab latch onto her.

"Please Maggie. Let me stay!" Asked Y/n. Her eyes were becoming glassy and she was struggling to see Hank.

"You can stay. But don't get in the way!" Said Maggie and hugged Y/n.

The machine stopped beeping quickly and went back to a normal rhythm.

"Alright he's stable. Let's get him to an OR now!" Ordered Dr Choi.

Voight was being wheeled past Y/n. Dr Choi stopped the bed so they could have their moment. He reached out his hand to touch hers. She held his hand and he squeezed her hand slightly.

He whispered. "It's going to be okay. I love you.

"I love you too dad." Responded Y/n.

"I'll keep you posted." Said Dr Choi as he pushed Voight's bed into the elevator.

"Hey, Y/n. We really need to get you checked out. Can you head into room 3 please?" Asked April.

Y/n nodded and slowly walked to room 3. She sat on the bed and held onto her stomach.

"Aah!" Shouted Y/n in pain.

Antonio was in the room next to Y/n also being checked for injuries.

"Okay Y/n, I'm going to order you in for a CT and an MRI. Is that okay?" Asked April.

"Yeah its fine. Can I get something for the pain please." Begged Y/n.

April said yes and then inserted an IV into her arm. She gave her some Morphine for the pain.

"Alright. Let's go get an MRI and CT and then I think someone wants to see you." Said April.

After the scans, Y/n was wheeled back to her room where Blake was waiting for her. A big smile spread across her face.

"Hey. How are you feeling?" Asked Blake.

"Not bad. Got a bit of pain in my ribs area. How are you?" Asked Y/n.

"I'm fine because your fine." Responded Blake.

"Aww. You too sweet! Why did you put yourself in danger?" Asked Y/n.

"I begged Voight to let me come and he said no but Jay said I might be helpful so Voight agreed. But I didn't know they had a plan in place. I asked for a vest and they told me I didn't need one. It did make me suspicious but I just left it because you were in danger. I made a promise to Voight that I would always protect you. And I love you, that is why I did it." Responded Blake.

"Thank you so much. I love you too." Said Y/n.

"Sorry to interrupt. Your scans came back clear. You will be fine, just need to rest and the bruises should go away in the next 4-6 weeks." Explained April.

"Thank you April." Said Y/n.

"One last thing April." Said Blake. April nodded for him to carry on. "Would it be possible to have me, Antonio and Jay in this room so we can talk."

"We were thinking of moving Y/n into a recovery room for now so more people can be in the room at a time and we can make room in the ER floor." Said April.

"That sounds perfect April." Said Y/n. "Thank you."

"We'll move you up there now, everyone can come up too and there is a bigger waiting room." Said April. "Plus its a lot more peaceful."
