The next day before class I walked in to see Ryder was already there. I walked to my desk and I saw a note, It said "Hi Anabelle. I just wanted to say that I liked you." I looked over towards him to see him smiling, My cheeks turned bright red again. "You clearly like me" he assumed. I didn't want to tell him I liked him out loud, so I changed the subject quickly. "Your white hair, is it dyed?" "Yeah, do you like it?" He replied, I nodded.
Once class was over we head off to lunch. Thinking about what he said last night, I asked him to explain his disability more. He answered by saying "Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a condition in which the heart muscle becomes abnormally and makes it hard for the heart to pump blood, sorry for going into detail." I was shocked, how could god make him this way? to avoid any other talk about it we talked about other things and going into detail about our interests.
As soon as lunch was over I sucked it up and blurted out "I like you too!" Why did I just say that out loud? everyone started to stare in disgust. Then we hear "hey, looks like Ryder found someone, Anabelle and Ryder sitting in a tree, K-I-S..." I was so mad. I interrupted them and yelled "shut the hell up!" They clearly didn't care about his disability or my screaming and they just continued their jokes about us. "That's one of my bullies. They just want attention, try your best to ignore them." Ryder told me. I could tell he wanted nothing to do with them.
