Old World Blues in a New World

Prologue

This story begins in the year 2286 in which after defeating Caesar's Legion and splitting his lands, the remaining two major powers in the North American continent began bilateral relations, that being the Provisional Republic of Texas, and the New California Republic. As the years passed, there was a major border incident between the Texans and the raider state of the Eighties a massive nation that expanded quickly like a plague all over Utah, western Nevada, and Idaho, in which that the Texan Intelligence confirmed that the Eighties backed a raid of a settlement which left it in ashes, and with that the Texans declared war on Eighties with casus belli of freeing the slaves under a rogue state.

                                                                              What surprised both the Texans and the Eighties, was the Californian declaration of war against the Eighties, saying that the Eighties were threat to national security as similar raids happened to Californian settlement.  To say that the war was a steamroll would be a understatement, as the brunt of the NRC's overwhelming numbers, and the Texan sophisticated Air Force and Power Armor Companies attacked the Eighties in a massive pincer attack, with Texan bombers destroying forts on the their and their allies border, and with the Eighties being a raider's state, they had no real experience being on the defensive. After months of fighting, the capital of the Eighties, Wendover was overtaken by a joint force of Californian Rangers and Texan Power Armor, some notable units there were the newly formed  1st and 2nd Ranger Regiments and also newly formed 1st Power Armor Regiment.

                              After defeating the Eighties and splitting the land, some renowned people in the New Vegas area influenced by a certain courier who himself influenced by another certain courier named after an Old World general, started spreading the idea that even after nuclear annihilation that virtues of the Old World such as republicanism, liberty, freedom from persecution, and the pursuit of happiness, will always be fought for, and against tyranny and slavery . And while both the Republic of Texas and California were proof of this, but they weren't perfect on their own, and that we needed a strong united nation to enforce the Old World virtues, that nation being the United States of America.

                                            This idea took New Vegas by storm, after which it quickly spread around the surrounding area, and then inside Californian and Texan lands who quickly tried stop the spread the idea from circulating mostly save their political positions.  However they were too late to stop the ever growing idea from spreading inside their nations, it grew so much that people started to begin demonstrations that demanded their governments to reinstate the U.S. After much debate inside both the Texan and Californian Senates, both governments made a referendum for it's citizens to decide if they wanted the U.S back, and when results came back both were over 80%. And so the ROT and the NCR began to start began to lay down the infrastructure to reinstate the USA.

                               But what surprised both nation, was out of the north Nevada area was a group of people who said were part of the Enclave, and that they wanted to help with the rebuilding of the US. And when the Californian government heard this, they called for the arrest for of the Enclave members, in which the Texans said they shouldn't, which infuriated many the Californian government, who said they wouldn't cooperate with the Texans if they didn't step down. After much negotiation with the Texan government and the Enclave members themselves, the Californian step down with their demands, and after that small crisis was done with, the government asked the Enclave members on how they could help with rebuilding of the nation, and the Enclave members responded that their base of operations the 'Seirra Army Depot' contained many blueprints and protocols on to rebuild the nation when they finish laying waste to the wasteland. They left that last part out.
