Caylee's POV.

Cameron stared down at me, worry was evident in his face, he looked back and forth from me and the Alpha.  We were staring each other down and the tension in this area could be cut with a knife.

Cameron stood infront of me and kissed me gently on the tip of my nose, that completely got rid of any anger or frustration i had towards the Alpha and made me melt away in happiness at that one tiny action, he smiled at me reassuringlythen turned towards the Alpha.

"Alpha Pearce, I do not appreciate you talking to my mate that way, and I can assure you, once you have stepped down, she will be the one greatly respected and ill expect nothing less than respect from you aswell". He spoke solemnly.

With that he took my hand in his and we left, not before Alpha could come running up behind us of course.

"Actually Cameron, I came to talk to you about me stepping down thisafternoon, we've brought it back a few hours. The ceremony will start in 20 minutes and the rest of the pack will be here in 5. Please be dressed appropriately." He stated blankly before turning to leave.

He stopped suddenly before turning and looking straight at me smiling sadistically ,"Oh and i forgot to mention, only the male pack members will be attending".

With that said he turns on his heels and walked away, seeming far too pleased with himself.

I really wonder what he must've been like before losing his mate.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been sitting in my room for the lasthalf hour waiting for my mate to get back to me, I've been on my own in the pack house for quite a while now, i couldnt stand living with anyone else so I moved into the pack house which were practically all mated males so they all stuck to themselves to it was the closest alone i was getting.

Another 15 minutes passed and I was waiting patiently on my bed for his return, I was laying on my pillow, it was so soft and welcoming, I could feel myself drifting further and further into the abyss of sleep...
