That night I got a call from my dad.
"Hey Leah, I won't be home for another few months I have a booked schedule"
"Oh are you sure"
"Yes"
"Dad remember its my birthday today"
"No it's not that's next week"
"No it's today dad"
"Really"
"Yes"
"Oh well happy birthday"
"Thank you"
"I've got to go"
"Oh well bye, love you"
Before I finished my sentence he hung up. I just went back to bed. I missed him bed when he was here he never really spent any time with me anyway.
The next morning I got dressed and head to the park to walk my dog bear. I just got him last night, he was a birthday gift from my brother but it was quite late when I received him. I was just walking down the trail till I saw Paxton, he looked like he was on a run. I walked up to him.
"Hey Paxton"
"Leah"
"What are you doing"
"On a run"
"I won't keep you then"
"No it's okay"
"Ok"
"Aww who's that cutie" he did reaching down to pet my dog
"That's bear, I got him from my brother for my birthday"
"He's adorable"
"I'm way cuter" I joked
"Debatable"
"Hey"
We both laughed then I picked up bear and kissed his head.
"I'm jealous" Paxton said
"Don't worry you can hold him"
"That's not what I meant"
"I know"
We talked for a bit then we both headed back home. When I got back home I put bear in his playpen while I went and showered. Then I looked at my phone once I got changed again. I had 4 texts from Devi.

I'm so sorry I didn't answer, do you need to talk I can come over
She hasn't answered for a long time so I was worried about her. Then I called fab, el, and Paxton and none of them knew were she was. I gave up hope, I didn't know who else to ask.
On Monday at school I finally found her.
"Devi are you okay" I asked
"No leah Im moving out I don't want to go to India"
"What Devi no that's a little dramatic"
"How am I being dramatic my mums moving me to India"
"I just think you should talk to her"
"YOU DONT UNDERSTAND, YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE A MUM" she yelled at me
My eyes started to well up with tears.
"How could you say that to me Devi, I have been there for you no matter what you've done but what you just said is messed up" I said then walked off
