Jamie’s POV

“No.” I said firmly.

“Yes.” Spoke Kate, my manager. “You and I both know that this is the best move for your career. You haven’t dated anyone since you were on the show and pretty soon people are going to start coming up with rumours.”

“Yeah well they’re going to do that anyway and I haven’t dated anyone since I was on the show because I haven’t met anyone I wanted to date.”

“Well this industry isn’t about what you want; it’s about what you need. You and I both know how cutthroat it is out there. If you don’t spice up your life a bit people are going to get bored.”

“I can’t. I can’t lie to the public. Not after what happened to Alex.”

“Look Jamie, I know about your whole “promise to yourself” thing but frankly, Alex wouldn’t have wanted you to sacrifice your career over a promise to her.”

“I suppose not but-“

“No buts. Now I’ve made a reservation for you and Harry this Friday at Le Cirque at 7 and I expect you to keep it.”

“Harry?”

“Yes. Harry Styles.”

***3 days later***

Harry’s POV

I shrugged the blazer onto my arms. A touch that was, of course, Simon’s idea. He liked how it incorporated my signature style and made me look like I was dressing to impress.

I sighed.

It wasn’t that I disliked the blazer, I just didn’t like how they were trying to control my life. I know Simon knows what’s best for my career but…. I don’t know it kind of made me feel like a child, like I’m not capable of choosing my own relationships or even dressing myself.

“Beep! Beep! Beep!”

It was my phone letting me know that I’d received a message. Not my normal iPhone though, this was an old Nokia Simon had given me to message Jamie on. He said that there was always a large chance that my normal phone would be hacked or stolen and that if I wanted to send any messages to Jamie concerning our “dating” I had to use the old one.

I looked at the message.

To: Harry

From: Jamie

Message: Hey Harry, just leaving now. Don’t worry I’m not that bad! The dinner will be over before you know it.

Jamie wasn’t the problem I had with this whole fake dating thing. I had met her before when she was on America’s Next Top Model and she was lovely but I just felt really guilty lying to everyone. I quickly typed out a reply.

To: Jamie

From: Harry

Message: Its ok Jamie, I know you’re lovely from when we met last year I just feel kind of guilty is all. I should be there in about 15 min, see you then.

A/N: Done! I have to admit I don't like this chapter that much though :/ I was going to do a really long one but it was proving too time consuming and I wanted to update so yeah. Sorry. Also I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Simon is not going to be evil. I was a little bit worried that you might think so and didn't want you to be upset so yeah. Also I'm going to do something terrible here which I have never done before and ask for 3 votes before I upload the next chapter. Just 3. That's not too much to ask is it?

Anyway later gators <3 Talli
