─"MIRIKO PLEASE STOP BOTHERING ME I'M WORKING RIGHT NOW!" you yelled while flying away faster in an attempt to lose her.
"come on baby take a quick break i know you've been working so so hard." miriko teased you.
you were currently flying above the city on patrol while miriko used her strong rabbit-like legs to hop after you.
"aren't you supposed to be on patrol too?" you asked her without looking behind you.
"i'm on break right now." miriko explained.
you decided not to respond and kept flying away at an even faster rate.
"plus i'm having much more fun patrolling your fine ass." miriko bit her lip.
you felt your wings puff up in embarrassment and you finally stopped flying to turn around to face miriko.
"finally gonna take your break so we can spend some quality time together?" miriko asked you hopefully.
you didn't respond and began to flap your wings strong enough to make a consistent wind current.
"ahaha i like the breeze sweetheart but it might be a little bit to strong mind turning it down just a little bit?" miriko yelled over the strong air gradually sending her closer and closer to the edge of the building.
you didn't respond and started flapping your wings even harder.
"BABE B-BABE YOU'ER GONNA- OH FUCK!" miriko yelled as she felt herself fly off the building.
"I'M FALLING FOR YA GET IT BABY NOW COME AND CATCH ME BEFORE I BECOME ROADKILL!" miriko screamed as she free fell.
you acted like you didn't here her and casually began checking your nails.
"BABY PLEASE I'M SORRY I PROMISE I WON'T BOTHER YOU WHILE YOU WORK ANYMORE! miriko pleaded.
"finally." you smirked to yourself in victory and began to fly after miriko, getting there just in time to catch her.
"woah." miriko exhaled once she was safely in your arms.
"that was hot." miriko smirked.
you groaned and immediately dropped miriko to the ground.
"ouch babe." miriko hummed while rubbing her but to soothe the pain.
"i'll be going now miriko." you attempted to leave.
"w-wait um my break doesn't end for another ten minutes would you like to?-" you cut off miriko with a stern "no.".
miriko sighed with a defeated smirk "it was worth a try i guess.".
"i'm joking miriko." you let out a quiet giggle of amusement at miriko's sulking form.
miriko stared in awe at the sound that could only be described as angelic coming from your mouth.
"i was supposed to go on a break a while ago anyway i was just trying to get away from you before i officially did." you sighed.
miriko tried to sputter out a response in rebuttal but you once again cut her off.
"but i guess it can't be helped." you smiled fondly.

a/n: i love writing miriko's personality it is so fun to write. the only thing i do not enjoy about this book is how jealous i am that (y/n) gets to interact with miriko smh. anyways i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter i love you guys so so much stay healthy and stay safe!
