You turn off your phone and smile, I have such a wonderful boyfriend, you think before hearing a familiar rusky voice, "Y/N suppers ready!". You get off of your bed and approach the, well what you could consider a kitchen, but was more of an all purpose area seeing as the only cooking utensils were a big pot over a fire.

"Made ya your favourite, *insert favourite food*!" Hargid says with a smile. You give him a warm smile, even thought you only met him a few weeks ago after the accident, you had already come to love Hagrid. He reminded you of your grandpa from back home.

You take a seat on a small, wooden stump you're pretty sure was freshly cut as it still had a few ants on it. You don't mind though, it gives you a sense of home, where you and your childhood bestfriends Rueben and Tyler would sit in the treehouse you built together. You chuckle, remembering the time an ant crawled up Tyler's nose.

After about 5 minutes of small talk, Hagrid clears his throat. "So, Y/N, I was thinking, well.." he pauses, you stop eating and look up at him, giving him him your full attention, "Well I just thought, how would you like to attend Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry after the Winter Break?" You're shocked, but welcome the idea inside of your head, meeting new people, making friends, learning more at this new school than you could ever learn in the dinky Australian witchcraft and wizardry schools back home. "I would love you!" you reply, eagerly. Hagrid smiles, "Glad you said that, because well, I already told Dumbledore you wanted to-" he's cut off by the squeek of an owl.

"Oh look, there's your letter now!" He says. The bird releases the letter from it's beak and you catch it, careful not to let it fall into the fire. You open it up to see a long sheet of paper, filled with information about the school, your schedule and what stuff you will need to buy from a place called "Diagon Ally".
