Sighing, groaning, grumbling, and just being plain upset, you roll around in bed half-asleep. Another nightmare plagued your mind. These had been occurring often after Billy almost got caught at the convenience store a days walk west.
He had been trekking out to get more supplies, and a surprise for you, when a hunter stopped in his tracks at seeing the boy who was all over the news open the door to Jank's and walk out, hands full of bags. The hunter nudged his partner and nodded his head toward the boy, now sure it was Billy Loomis.
The Loomis boy avoided eye-contact with the two men as he tried to walk past them. The hunter stopped him, his hand on Billy's shoulder. "Where ya headed, kid? I can give you a ride," he said, nodding towards his rusty white pickup. Billy looks up at the man. "I'm good, thanks. I prefer walking. Plus my mom will be worried if I come home in a stranger's car," he smoothly stated.
Then two men glance at each other, then back to Billy who the first hunter still has a hold of. He tightens his grip and leans in so only Billy can hear him. "Listen, kid. We know you're that killer on the news, Billy Loomis. If you make any sound, I will shoot you. Got that?" Billy grits his teeth and gives a firm nod, his eyes narrowed at the hunter.
They walk towards the truck, with Billy unsure of what to do. He could kill the two men, but the store clerk could hear. He could also kill the store clerk, but he would make a huge fucking mess. What if they had people who would come looking for them?
Billy forms a plan, hoping it'll work out in his favor. He knees the hunter in the balls, kicks his legs out from under him and grabs the gun from the hunter as it falls from his grip. The hunter's partner pauses, staring at his fallen friend. He then looks up at Billy and raises his arms above his head in surrender, eyes wide. Billy smirks, pointing with the gun for the man to pick up the hunter. He helps the other man to his feet, and they walk, herded by Billy into the forest. Billy slices their throats, with some difficulty as then men fight back, and waits in a tree til nightfall.
Once the night is dark enough that you can't see in front of you, he leaves his post in the trees and starts the journey back to the cabin. Home to Y/n and Stu.
When Billy had made it back, more than a day late, Y/n had cried so hard when she finally saw him. Bruised and battered and still excited to see his girl. Ever since that morning when he returned, Y/n would have nightmares of him being beat senseless, while she watches, unable to move.
You groan again as tears start to leak out. Billy and Stu wake up, startled, and then look down at you in between them. Billy leaves to get something while Stu shakes you awake. You let out a gasp as you launch into a sitting position, looking around frantically. When you realise it was only Stu, you close your eyes and let out a shakey sigh as your body magnetizes toward Stu. He pulls you into a tight embrace, letting your tears soak into his t-shirt.
Still sobbing silently -you never were a loud cryer- Billy walks back into the room, gifts in hand. He gives you some of your favorite candy, and your stuffed animal. The last thing he had was your favorite comedy, he had somehow snagged it. You reach for him, Stu's arms still around your waist, as he walks towards the bed. You pull him in and everyone readjusts under the covers. you snuggle into your boys, completely disregarding the movie as you drift off, happy.
