She wasn't really expecting anything out of the ordinary, she just turned eighteen. Niki never really liked anything loud but as long as in made her feel special so she only had her closest friends come over at her house to celebrate her 18th birthday. She's been spending time with her childhood friends for years, like Jack.
At least every after school Niki and people like Gee and Rhianna come over at Jack's place to talk about schoolwork, life, or even just hanging out. Niki was a very well known girl around the village, usually known for her sweet and kind personality and everlasting beauty.
The town would start fairs sometimes for charities and some to just support small businesses. She had a neighbor she met there and hangs out with too, Wilbur. Wilbur had a little brother named Tommy, he seemed energetic. Wilbur also has a twin brother, Techno, she thought he was Wilbur for years until Techno's hair started to grow longer and when both twins changed their styles. Techno was usually in his room or with Phil, their dad.
It was a lovely morning, but the sun barely peaked in such a sublime countryside. Niki was just gazing at the sky through her bedroom window, she just finished reading a book she never ever got tired of and her cat Zuko by the end of her bed.
As Niki watched the sun slowly rise she was thinking of good things.
As it now became a sunny morning she got up and brought her journal, a pencil and a fountain pen. She headed out to the door and her cat followed. She walked to a nice little garden at the front of her house. She sat on a dark oak bench and started sketching things she saw in her garden, two sunflowers, a dandelion and a willow tree she just envisioned. As she was done she brought out her pen and started writing..

Well, not so long time no see, I may have been not keeping this updated as much as I used to but y'know not much has been going on, I'm looking for something,,
hmm.. different? something to make my routine more fun!
I can't just be sketching flowers all day. THAT'S IT!
I can try starting a flower shop? But how can I start..
Wil and the others are kinda busy but I can try making this a me plan.
am gonna go write some goals.
I'll go make some breakfast. I'm hungry..
If Ranboo's around I can try asking if he's interested because everyone is busy for sure...)

Niki closed her little journal and got up she headed back inside to make some breakfast.
No one's really moved into the country and enjoyed her little life as, simply, Niki.

A girl named Puffy on the other hand..
She has recently moved to Birch Rest, Niki's town. She wasn't all that excited since she was more into loud spaces with exciting places like Esimpi City, but gets a quiet, peaceful village. Puffy was fine with this environment since she would stay for probably 2 years? She thought in her mind.
At the same hour, Puffy was standing by the ocean-view thinking of what can she do in such a peaceful place. Puffy too had a journal, she doodled a lot more than Niki on her journal. Puffy wanted to be a pirate, exploring the seas and possible treasures..
She retreated back to the seats in the ship and waited patiently.
Soon after she arrived, she's here! In the kind province of L'manburg, and in Niki's town. Puffy got to her cottage which was just just across the street from Niki's house.
Niki was still in her garden at that time so Puffy hasn't seen the sweet lady yet.
Puffy had a slightly different sense of fashion from all the other girls in town, wasn't sure if that was a good thing. Puffy started unpacking inside and at the same sort of pace, Niki has finished breakfast and was ready to head to Ranboo's or Jack's
Puffy was peaking through the front door curtains that belonged to the previous owner decided to leave it there. She saw Niki, walking out the door in a beautiful dress and cute straw hat.
"So this is gonna be one of my neighbors.." Puffy whispered to herself in slight awe. She stopped snd walked back with all her luggages to unpack before Niki was able to notice.
...
Later that day after unpacking, Puffy was just gonna have a nice stroll, to get used to her new home. Niki stumbled upon her and was confused, she just saw a face she is very unfamiliar with. Puffy's cheeks gone a bit red and Niki asked,
"Have I seen you before?" asked Niki with a slightly puzzled look on her face.
"Oh uh- I don't think so." replied Puffy in a casual tone in her voice, "Well I just migrated here from Esimpi City." she continued.
"Esimpi City?" Niki's eyes widened from seeing someone who was so far from here.
"Yep. That's right. I'm Puffy by the way" Puffy let out her hand for a handshake, Niki seemingly stood there a bit awkwardly looking at the unshaken hand, she held Puffy's hand and gave it a warm shake with a smile "I'm Niki!'
"That's a nice name,, Niki." said Puffy smiling back.
