First POV
I was thrown against the wall, in a failed attempt to beat my mentor again.
"Oof- ow... how do you keep doing that?" I asked getting up slowly.
"That's what you have to learn. I really thought you would have sharpened your senses by now." My mentor, Kaito said dissatisfied.
"Y/n? I'm hungry. Is training done yet?" My little brother, Takeru said hanging from the porch overhang.
"No, sorry Takeru but i- OOF-!" I was cut off with another surprise attack from Kaito. I got up shakily.
"Pay attention. I want you to be the top attendee at the Entrance Exam for U.A." Kaito said demandingly. I nodded reluctantly. Truth was my quirk was uncontrollable. It took an effort just to get the ringleader to listen to me. The others they are..obedient. My werewolf quirk wasn't much help either. I had great hearing but Kaito had a ninja quirk so his steps were more quieter than most people.
"Concentrate. Focus on all tiny sounds and movements." Kaito said again. I focused and closed my eyes. This might sound weird but I can see sounds. It's an ability I can use only when I concentrate. Using my ability I dodged and upfront blow from my mentor. I tried to separate myself from thinking to see if I had do okay. I could still see the sounds of some song birds settling back in.
"Big Sister? You're bleeding!" Takeru exclaimed. "D-don't worry! I can make dinner again today! If you want me to..." I sighed thoughtfully.
"I'm fine. Come on I'll make you some rice balls. And if your lucky I'll help you." I said staggering inside. Takeru followed quietly. My little brother cared an awful lot about me. Along with my mother, we had adopted and cared for him ever since we got him. He had lost his parents at a really young age so he has grown really attached to me specifically. I made Takeru his rice balls and went to go check the damage for today. The supposed "reason" that Kaito was doing this was because he was training me for the U.A. Entrance Exam. Though in all honesty, It feels like he hates me. Someone was coming up the stairs. Not now!, I thought. If they come in now my secret will be gone, nada, nothing, zilch!
"Come on! Hurry up! They can't see you now!" I hissed.
"I'm healing as fast as I can. You're lucky I'm doing this for you. I could have left you for yourself." The ringleader and part of my quirk, Kuro said cockily.
"You know that if I die you die too, right?" I said. "Now hurry! I have to go finish my training!"
"Do you even need the so called 'training'? I'll listen to you. I mean your already pretty strong. So just ditch the training. You got this!" Kuro said trying to encourage me. He's already done this once before.
"Okay. I'll trust you." The exam is a week from now. I had to be ready. Why not do some rollerskating today?, I thought. I mean it's not bad or any thing. Kuro finished up healing my injuries and left to his own realm. I picked up my new roller blades that I had gotten with my allowance and went out to the street. I passed by Kaito on the way.
"Where are you going, your training isn't done yet?" He said as I went down the steps.
"Busy sorry." I said plainly but quickly and ran outside.
"Heyyyyyy! I have an idea! You might like it! Maybe just maybe use your skills in rollerskating to your advantage. Just saying." Kuro said while hovering beside me. I hummed slightly. Slipping on my rollerblades, I skated slightly over the road before coming back.
"Do a flip! I wanna see a flip!" Takeru said sitting on the roof.
"What the- GET DOWN FROM THERE!" I called. Takeru groaned in annoyance and came down.
"I'm perfectly fine I have my quirk you know." He said looking up at me. I sighed and went back to what I was doing.
"Hey, Kuro? What if I did something like this?" I asked while somersaulting and swinging my leg in an arc downwards.
"That could work. Since we are working with robots." Kuro said referring the meeting about the entrance exam. I nodded.
"Well it's getting late, we should head back inside." I said and headed inside. I tapped my heel twice and my roller skates became regular shoes. Thank god for technology. I napped for the rest of the day. And I never thought that the U.A. Exam would be closer than ever.
*?prett timeskip-*
On the day of the exam, I was nervous. I didn't know anyone and I was scared I would fail. I was sitting by myself at the moment looking down at the pamphlet we were given on the way in.
"Hey? Is this seat taken?" A girl asked. She had short brown hair and a bubbly persoUm no? You can sit here if you want." I said looking up.
"Thanks! I'm Ochaco Uraraka. What's your name?" She asked looking expectantly at me.
"Uh, Y/N L/N. Nice to meet you Uraraka-San." I said looking ahead. She was giving me just a bit too much attention. And it was the good kind of attention, which I'm not used to yet.
"I'm so excited! But also really nervous! All three years we'll be able to do the Entrance Exam to get in to U.A. but each year I heard it gets harder." Uraraka rambled. I didn't mind it of course. I enjoyed he company. I looked beside Uraraka to see a mumbling boy. He had green hair and his mumbling and murmurs got louder until he was called out my a really straighten out boy. He seemed really into all the important details and school. I mean I'm all for education and wanting to pursue your schoolwork, but this guy's on another level.
Present Mic really lost his hyping skills. The room sounded dead. He explained the rules and the robots on our pamphlets. I listened to the important snippets then tuned out the rest.
"Hey." I whispered to the green-haired boy.
"H-huh? Y-yes?"
"I'm Y/N L/N. Nice to meet you whoever you are." I said. The boy introduced himself as Izuku Midoriya.
We were lead outside and on a field that looked like a modern city. Present mic opened the gates and a lot of people waited. So I walked and and turned a corner to distance myself. I knew a rush of people were coming.
"So is this the part where we fight robots now?" Kuro said from behind me.
"Yes. Now let's go. I hear and see people." I said and skated my way to the next area.
*?30 minutes later-*
I was tired. I didn't think that the exam was this hard. I had to keep pushing though. They were getting angry and afraid.
"The Nightmares cant keep up knowing there's a powerful quirk in the area. We need to move!" Kuro said doing his best to calm the distressed nightmares. I couldn't move. I heard and saw a loud sound. People were running. It was the largest zero pointer I've ever seen glancing around sharply, I could see that Uraraka was trapped under a slab of rock and Izuku hadn't moved yet. I skated towards him.
"O-oh! Y/N-San! What are you doing here?"
"Look Uraraka is trapped. I want to help her. But at the moment my quirk won't listen to me properly."
"What? What do you mean your quirk isn't listening?" Izuku asked confused.
"I'll explain later. Just do what you can to get rid of the zero pointer. I'll trying get Uraraka out." I said and skated as fast as I could towards her. This slab was large. I needed to think. Without thinking I skated backwards then rushed forward and forced the slab up into the sky.
"Okay! Let's go before gravity becomes our next problem." I said while hauling Uraraka onto my back to get a bit farther away. After we were properly distanced from the large Zero-pointer which is now in ruins, I set Uraraka down and checked if she was okay. She was which is a good thing. The timer went off to say that's it let's see how well you've done. I knew I was bound to have failed I don't even know how many robots I destroyed. That was Kuro's job. I heaved a sigh and walked with Uraraka , Izuku and The mature guy who introduced himself as Tenya Iida. I finally explained my quirk a tiny bit more but I didn't want to give too much away. But then again it's not like I'll pass. I said goodbye to my new friends though it might be the last time I see them. I was skating my way home until a boy with ash blonde hair and a scowling face came up to me.
"You, Damn Extra." He said rudely. I stopped and turned to look at him.
"Do you need something?" I asked politely. As my mother always says: Be polite even if the other person isn't being nice. It works out most of the time.
"You're following me. Why? You got some business with me?" He said. Yes said not asked. I was kinda dumbfounded. I mean I came this way to the exam stadium and I'm going the same way back.
"Uh no? This is the way I came now I'm going back?" I said trying to explain. He had explosions crackling in his hand. I'll assume that's his quirk.
"Oh by the way, I'm Y/N L/N! And you are?" I asked just needing to know his name.
"Tch. Katsuki Bakugou. Soon to be the number one hero. Hell I'll even surpass All Might!" He said cockily. I sweat dropped. That's kinda of a big thing your asking of your self. And too be honest I don't see him being the number one hero. But miracles happen. I skated my home and dropped by some of my neighbors to make sure they're doing all right. I used to visit a lot of them as a kid but not as much anymore. I mean I'm still in junior high after all. I also dropped by Mitsuki's house. Or better known as Miss Bakugou. I said a quick hi asked how her day was and said if she needed anything she could call me. I finally got back to my house and as soon as I got inside I collapsed onto the couch.
"Welcome Back, Y/N! I hope you did well!" Takeru said bringing me a glass of milk.
"Thanks Takeru." I said and drank the whole glass.
"You should rest! You worked really hard!" He said and ushered me to my room. "Now have a good rest!" Takeru closed the door softly and I was left yo myself. I took another bath and freshened up then finally crashed onto my bed to sleep.
*?Few days later-*
"Y/N! Y/N! The mail is here and there one addressed to you!" Takeru said busting into my room. I got up groggily. "Open it! Open it!" I sighed and readjusted myself so both Takeru and I could see. I opened the letter and a small tablet came out. I set it on the floor to look for more contents when the little tablet turned onto a projection.
"I am here! As a hologram!" All Might said. I looked wide eyed at him. All Might started talking about what I did and how my villain points and rescue points added up to me getting into U.A. When the projection shut off. Takeru ran downstairs to call our mother and tell her. But I couldn't believe it. I had been accepted into U.A.
