Kakyoin x reader ~hotel cuddles~

My fingers weave between the (h/c) strands of my hair, (n/l) painted nails scratching at my scalp as I gently brush them along the top of my head, journeying down to the (bright/dark) tendrils and sweeping the heavy layers behind my shoulders, freeing my face from a tickly prison.

Twisting the silver doorknob I leisurely exit the bathroom, welcomed by the sight of Kakyoin silently reading against the bed frame atop dark plainly coloured though fluffy, sunken, warm blankets. He looks up from the ivory pages below him, smiling warmly at me before looking back down, eyes returning to the quick scan of processing words to connect a, supposedly, intriguing storyline.

My heart pathetically skips a beat, his beautiful smile sending my body into a panicked state, though I somehow manage to make my way to our shared bed despite the subtle shaking of my limbs and plop down next to him. Shuffling close to his broad frame, I peer over his shoulder, long scattered words filling up the page and already my head begins to painfully pulse.

"What are you reading?"

Refusing to look up at him and potentially get starstruck by his piercing violet globes, my (e/c) eyes remain focused on his book, though I can still feel his gaze turn to mine as his head gently moves beside me.

"Hm? Oh, it's just something I picked up from a market stand back in India" He nervously rambles.

I hum, watching as he closes the dark green, golden framed book and turns to place it on the dark wooden nightstand beside him, returning to his original position and huffing tiredly.

"Ready for bed?"

I smile, nodding sluggishly and slide down so my body is laid face up, bending my legs up in the air and stretching down my arms to pull up the soft covers so I'm buried snugly, Kakyoin joining me quickly and with an amused chuckle.

I turn over so we're facing each other, blood automatically pumping up to my cheeks as I realise just how close we are. But Kakyoin just smiles, staring down at me with, what could be described as, a loving gaze. Pink grazes the apples of his cheeks as I shuffle even closer, faces mere inches apart as I stare down at the blank wall across from us.

"What are we doing tomorrow?" I ask just above a whisper, trying desperately to ignore his warm, calm breaths against my forehead as they send shivers up my spine, like dozens of miniature spiders crawling up the line of my back.

"I'm not sure. I'm sure Mr. Joestar will tell us in the morning, though."

I hum, looking back up at him and meeting his amethyst eyes once again. I relish the sight of his cherry-red hair, strands splayed against his cheek and on top of the fluffy white pillow his head lays comfortably against. I can tell he's analysing my features too, his eyes scanning mine, moving down slightly to my lips until they've moved across to my (soft/curly/thick,etc), (h/c) locks. He raises his hand, running his pale hands through my hair and massaging at my scalp before moving down to wrap his muscular arm around my waist.

"You're not usually this quiet, is something wrong?" He asks hesitantly, voice laced with Noriakis signature gentle concern.

I shrug, "just tired..."

"Mh, today was hectic, I can see why" his thumb gently strokes against the thin fabric of my pajama top, "it's also getting quite late, we should sleep."

I nod, returning his embrace and burying my head against the side of his face, closing my eyes and failing to ignore the heavy buildup of Kakyoins heartbeat against my chest.

"Night Nori"
"...Night (y/n)"

Kakyoin had, once again, failed to confess his feelings for the (girl/boy/person) peacefully drifting into a deep slumber in front of him, the anxiety of possible rejection aching at his chest.

He'll just have to wait until their next special moment alone together...
