How many times have you hurt someone?
I don't mean like hitting someone, or pushing them, or physical pain.
I mean the kind that hurts the kind that lasts.
Have you ever scarred someone so much emotionally that you feel like you should scar yourself physically just to match them?
I have.
A few times actually.
I never truly mean too, I'm just an idiot.
That's what all these little lines are that litter my wrists and arms, my stomach and chest, and my thighs and hips.
Its for every single time I've hurt someone.
The small ones are for things like flicking someone, or pinching a person.
The bigger ones are for causing longer lasting physical pain, like a burn or a twisted ankle.
The large ones are for causing brief emotional pain, like lying or screaming out of anger.
And the largest ones are for when I break a heart or cause someone to be insecure.
And the biggest one of all is a large one over my heart. It's the deepest one too, it's not healed yet. But when it is I'll be riddled with all the marks and scars of someone who is truly terrible.
And I'll have deserved every last bit of these scars.
