My Love

Nightmare

Lena's pov:
I woke up and I saw y/n standing beside the bed. They were just standing there with their hand on their chest and bent over. They gripped on the bed frame and they fell to the ground. I rushed to them and when I got to them their eyes are closed and they were barely breathing. "Y/n please wake up.... Please!!" I said panicking. I picked them up and put them on the bed and I grabbed my phone then called 911. "911 what's your emergency?" The person asked "My girlfriend they collapsed and they could barely breathe please help....." I said while crying "Okay please calm down help is on the way we will just track your number make sure your girlfriend is still breathing we will stay on the line" The person said trying to help me out "Okay.....okay"

A few minutes passed by their breathing is slowing down even more. Then I heard a knock on the door I rushed downstairs and I opened the door leading them to the room. Y/n is just laying there limp "Please help them... please" I said sobbing in my hands "Their breathing we need to get them downstairs on the stretcher." The medic said while they carry y/n downstairs. They put y/n on the stretcher and pushed it all the way to the ambulance.

They let me in the ambulance with y/n and they put a oxygen mask on them. We were almost to the hospital, then I felt a hand hold my hand. I heard mumbled up words I couldn't quiet understand . "Darling I'll never leave you" I told them while still crying and I held their hand tighter. We got to the hospital and they took out the stretcher that y/n was on and they pushed it in the hospital rushing.

They told me to wait in the waiting room. I called Lisa and told her what happened. She told me that she's heading to the hospital now. A few minutes laters Lisa was in the hospital and comforted me "hey it's going to be okay." She assured me, all I did was nod and put my head on her shoulder.

Hours went by and the doctor was heading my way. I stood up fast and when the doctor got to me he asked me "Hi are you Y/n L/n sister? Or partner?" I answered quick "I'm their girlfriend" the doctor nodded "Okay so please calm down and have a seat while I tell you" He sat down and patted the seat next to him "Your girlfriend had a heart attack and she might die anytime soon"

I was in shock. I just sat there turning in front of me and covered my face with my hands and started crying. The doctor patted my shoulder "You guys could see them if you'd like" I sat up straight slowly and look towards him and just nodded. Lisa held my hand, we stood up and walked to the elevator.

When the elevator opened we walked in and the doctor pressed the number 3 on the panel thing. I was getting anxious and started fidgeting with my fingers. What if they're already dead when I get there?? No I can't think like that but what if they are? The doctor said anytime. No please hopefully they're not dead.

The elevator doors opened and we walked out. The doctor led us to a room and I see y/n hooked up to this wire thing and a tube going down their throat. I walked over fast to them and I grabbed the chair that's behind me and sat down next to the bed. "Hey y/n. I know you can hear me please wake up." I grabbed her hand and put my head where her arm is and started crying.

Morning came and you guys are still in bed with Lena's face buried in your neck. You guys made up but you're still scared that it might happen again. But you're glad that she will not be seeing Gabbi again since it's the last season of Atypical. Lena is in deep sleep while you're already awake trying to get out of bed so you could go to the bathroom.

She kept on holding tighter every single time you move. So now you can't do anything and you will be late for your zoom class. College is so hard to do especially with a girlfriend that is so clingy. But you don't really mind her being clingy because that means you can have an excuse of being sick and need to stay in bed for resting.

Lena is still holding you tight to where you can't even move it's like you're her teddy bear. "Lena baby I can't breathe" You said while getting crushed. Lena moves a little and her whole forehead is sweating. That's when you realized she's having a nightmare. "Lena it's okay it's just a nightmare" You said calmly, you got to escape her grip and hugged her. "Hey it's okay wake up darling it's just a nightmare. I'm here. No one can hurt you." You told her and her eyes opened slowly looking watery like she's been crying.

Lena's thoughts:
Thank god it's just a dream they're right here next to me. Thank god.

"Hey hey it's okay I'm here." You said holding her tighter she sobbed in your arms trying to say something but it's all incoherent. "We're going to breathe together okay? Breathe with me. You got this." She nodded and you let go of her and she sat up on the bed. You sat up too "Breathe in" you inhaled Lena followed "Breath out" you exhaled and Lena did too. You guys did a couple of rounds of that.

"Tell me what happened and you're going to write it down then we will burn the paper so it will be all gone." You told her calmly. All she did was nod at you, she was hiccuping and sniffling. "Okay tell me." You said while cupping her chin and putting her head up gently. "Oka....Okay.....yo....you....you...were dying" She said still crying, you pulled her in closer "I'm right here see breathing and alive don't worry it's okay" You told her trying to calm her down but she's still crying in your arms.
