A Rainy Delight
"Oh God, what is happening to me today…?"
She was on her way home, completely lost in her thoughts, replaying everything that had happened at the competition. Just then, the sky rumbled, and within moments, the rain began to pour.
The moment the cool droplets touched her skin, all her worries faded away. A wide smile spread across her face. She had always loved the rain, and today was no different.
Without a second thought, she parked her cycle under a tree, carefully placing her trophy beside it. Then, like an excited child, she ran straight into the rain, jumping and twirling with joy.
She spotted a group of kids playing nearby, splashing water at each other. Without hesitation, she joined them, laughing and playing without a care in the world. For that moment, nothing else mattered—just the rain, her laughter, and the pure joy of being alive.

A Storm Within
Virendra was on his way back home after completing his work when suddenly, his car came to an abrupt halt in the middle of the road.
“What happened? Why did you stop the car?” Virendra asked the driver.
“I don’t know, Mukhi ji. There might be some issues with the engine. Let me check.”
Driver reply nervously. Looking at him from the mirror.
“Hmm… Go and call a mechanic.”
The driver nodded and walked away in search of help. Sitting alone in the car, Virendra scrolled through his phone when a soft, melodic giggle reached his ears. He paused, momentarily distracted, and stepped out of the car. Closing his eyes, he let the cool raindrops touch his face, inhaling the fresh scent of wet earth.
But his focus soon returned to that sweet laughter, and an unexplainable pull urged him to find the source. He followed the sound and found a young girl playing with children in the rain, laughing freely. Her back was facing him, and though he tried to catch a glimpse of her face, she moved before he could see her properly.
He took a few steps forward and stood in the exact spot where she had been playing just moments ago. A small smile appeared on his usually stern face as he turned to leave. However, something shiny on the ground caught his attention. It was an earring, glistening under the dim light of the cloudy sky. He picked it up and examined it carefully.
“Looks like it belongs to that girl…” He murmured to himself.
Lost in thought, he recalled her laughter—the pure joy in her voice. A faint, almost unnoticeable smile played on his lips. Just then, the driver returned, bringing him back to reality.
“Mukhi ji… Mukhi ji?”
He snapped out of his thoughts and turned towards the driver.
