You looked up to see a brown-haired man wearing a yellow-striped shirt and khaki shorts. Those shoes were too flashy for the outfit.

"Who are you, Mister?" you asked.

"My name is Luke Pearce, but you can call me Luke," he said, smiling.

"I'm not supposed to talk to strangers," you expressed concern.

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay, nothing bad or anything," Luke said as he sat down beside you.

"I suppose you've been left alone by someone," he speculated. "May I ask your name?"

"(Y/N) (L/N)," you responded, after thinking a bit.

"Oh, now that I think about it!" he deduced, "Someone with the same last name approached me before I met you."

"Wait, you met them? Do you know where my family is now?" you exclaimed.

Luke simply nodded. "That's right, they've been worried since you just ran away! Why did you get lost in the first place?"

"I found a wallet on the ground, went to the lost and found, returned it to a nice lady who rewarded me, and came back here," you explained.

Luke let out a sigh. "You did a good deed, but this is a public place! Next time, tell your father about what you saw before venturing out on your own." He then went to find a park worker and told you to stay put for your own safety.

"Excuse me? I need your help," Luke asked one of the park workers.

"Sure, what is it?" they said.

"I saw a lost child sitting on the bench without their parents; have you seen them?" Luke inquired.

"Hmm," they hummed. "Earlier, a father and a young boy were looking for a lost child; what was their name?"

"(Y/N) (L/N)," Luke added.

"Ah, I see you found the exact child! I appreciate your help, sir," the park worker said, nodding. "By the way, are you Luke Pearce, the owner of Time's Antiquities?"

Luke was taken aback by the sudden recognition and admitted. During their conversation, a man and a boy rushed to the park worker, who was still looking for his child.

"Did you try returning to your original location?" Luke suggested. The father agreed and followed him to where you sat.

"Dad!" you exclaimed, leaping from the bench and tightly hugging him and your brother. Luke just smiled in the background.

"You just stayed where you are! Just like I told you!" he exclaimed happily. You nodded and looked at Luke, who had come in handy in this situation.

"Thank you for finding my daughter, Mr. Pearce; I'm sorry you have to go through this. One question: are you a real detective?"

"Well...I'd say I'm more of a private one myself," he said, grinning.

"How are we going to repay you?" your father inquired. Luke was not looking for a reward, so he declined the favor, but your father insisted.

You and your family, along with Luke, spent the afternoon collecting prizes and riding a drop tower. Luke considered himself to be brave. But when it dropped safely, his mind erupted and screamed internally.
