Going to the Gilberts

We took our seats and soon Mr Tanner started talking "originally discovered nearly 5 centuries ago, it hasn't been over mystic falls in over 145 years. Now the comet will be at its brightest tomorrow night after dusk during tomorrow's celebration" Mr Tanner started talking then he snapped his head towards Elena and Stefan who was giving each other the look "are we bothering you. Mr Salvatore. Ms Gilbert?" He snapped at them both Elena shook her head as her cheeks went bright red and Stefan turned around in his seat. Tanner continued with his lesson. I zoned out as it was boring. I was in my own little daze. I started to think about the fact Elena could possibly be a cousin or possibly something else. I know I was named Delilah. All of a sudden the bell rang making me jump.

We all left the class room together, Stefan and Elena following in front while me Caroline and bonnie behind. "I'm confused" Caroline all of a sudden said gaining everyone's attention, we all looked at her confused. "Are you a psychic or are you a clairvoyant?" Caroline asked seriously
"Technically, grams says I'm a witch. My ancestors were these really cool Salem witch chicks or something. Grams tried explaining it all, but she was looped on the liquor so I kinda zoned out. Crazy family, yes. Witches? I don't think so" bonnie laughed
"Yeah well feel free to conjure up that guys phone number from last night" Caroline said all giggly, bonnie rolled her eyes, Caroline didn't notice but bonnie said "I didn't see him you did" you could tell she wasn't impressed
"Didn't you talk to him?" I asked her curious about what guy
"No she didn't talk to him" bonnie snapped
"Why didn't you" I asked
"Yes care why didn't you talk to him?" Bonnie questioned her
"I don't know I was drunk" she said shrugging her shoulders.

I left the school and returned home. My mum wasn't home. I found a note and put "going to the grill be back soon - Erika" I left it on the kitchen sides and left going to the grill to meet my friends.

I met up with everyone at the grill. We sat on a little table outside in the sun. The sun was shining down on us.
"Hey Erika" everyone greeted me as i took my seat making the chair screech across the floor.

"Well, I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity" bonnie said fascinated with the story her grams was sharing with her
"Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot and she told you about the aliens. So then what" caroline demanded the gossip from Elena, but bonnie was hurt by what Caroline had said
"So then nothing" elena shrugged as if it was nothing
"You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind?" She questioned. Both me and bonnie sat quietly, bonnie was hurt by the fact caroline was so rude and I personally didn't trust my mouth after that comment.
"Nope. We didn't go there." Elena told her sheepishly
"Not even a handshake? I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut" Caroline squeaked out at elena
"We just talked for hours" elena said defensively
"OK, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex!" Caroline groaned at Elena
Elena suddenly stood up causing us all to jump in surprise
"Where are you going?" Bonnie asked puzzled
"Caroline's right. It is easy. If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying what I was going to do." Elena said confidently
"Don't do anything you will regret" I called after her unsure if she heard me. Bonnie have Caroline an unimpressed look "what" Caroline asked as if she didn't have a clue, I rolled my eyes at her
"I've got to go see grams" bonnie said standing from her seat and walking down the road
"We best get home" Caroline said I nodded agreeing, we said out goodbyes and departed ways.

Here I was stood outside the Gilbert residence, I took a deep breath and knocked at the door. As I was about to leave the door swung open. A red head lady stood behind the opened door looking confused.
"Hello?" She said asked
"Hello, my name is Erika, I'm looking for my father Johnathan Gilbert?" I asked as kindly as before
"Oh. He doesn't live here" she replied kindly
"My aunt and uncle live here, I thought they could point me in the right direction" I said to the lady
"Oh Um, I'm so sorry but Miranda and Grayson passed away in a car crash" she replied sadly
"I'm so sorry for bothering you" I said turning to leave but she grabbed my arm
"Why are you looking for Johnathan?" the lady questioned me
"Johnathan is my biological Father, I was named Delilah Gilbert at birth. My birth parents gave me up for adoption" I explained to her
"I'm Jenna, I'm Marandas sister. You do have a cousins. come in and I'll introduce you to them" she said with a small smile opening the door wider allowing me to enter
"I've met Elena, she's in my class at school" I explained to her as I stepped through the door, the warmth of the home rushed to my cheeks
"Jenna who was at the door" I heard a voice call, and as we approached the kitchen I saw Elena,
"Elena this is" Jenna started but Elena cut her off
"Erika?" Elena asked
"Hey" I said
"This is johns daughter. Delilah" Jenna explained
"Did you know?" She asked me
"Not 100 percent but I had a feeling" I explained as hurt flashed through her face
"It's okay, I knew to, well about you but I didn't know if you knew about us, or if you'd even come to mystic falls" she said softly giving me a big hug
"How did I not know" Elena said surprised, by the fact she didn't know I was adopted "I didn't tell anyone I was adopted" I reminded her, she smiled as a boy walked in. He was dressed in all black. Black jeans, a black t-shirt and a black hoody, this must be Elenas little brother Jeremy
"Jeremy meet your cousin Erika" Jenna called
"We don't have a cousin called Erika" he grunted leaving the house
"Our parents told us about you, they would have loved to meet you" elena beamed with sadness in her eyes
"So does anyone know where Johnathan is?" I asked wanting to meet my father both Elena and Jenna shock their head, I felt defeated, this was my only lead. "He randomly shows up if that helps, but otherwise the only person who knew where he was would be my Father" Elena said, sadness must have crossed my face as Elena broke me out of my thoughts  "right it's the comet tonight you can help me and bonnie" Elena said dragging me out the house we said our goodbyes to Jenna and left to meet bonnie at the town square.

"Tonight's the night of the comet, would you like a
program?" Bonnie was asking strangers handing them a piece of paper
"He didn't call?" Bonnie asked Elena surprise
"Or text" Elena added looking down
"But then I realised we never exchanged numbers" she said I laughed "how could you forget that?" I asked her slightly amused by this
"Just slipped my mind" Elena defended holding her hands up in defence
"It's an important part in a relationship" bonnie jumped in, I nodded agreeing with Bonnie. I had a smirk on my face
"The timing is all wrong" Elena said defensively, I rolled my eyes at her reply
"When is it ever right" bonnie argued back. I nodded agreeing with Bonnie
"I'm not ready" Elena admitted
"Who is" bonnie said jumped in before I had a chance to say a thing
"At least I put myself out there" Elena shot back
"Is that what you're calling it?" Bonnie said giving her the look
"What do you mean" she asked me and Bonnie confused
"You are talking yourself out of it" I informed her
"All I'm hearing is reasons why you can't" bonnie said. She took a moment to think and agreed.

We all meet up at the town square ready for the comet. "I got candles" Caroline cheered as she gave one to each of us
"Thank you" I said as she handed me mine and lighting my candle, I turned to Bonnie and lit her candle
"Thank you Erika" she said with a small smile, I turned around and saw Elena with Stefan.

After Elena is done talking with Stefan we all go to the grill, inside it Tyler, Matt and Jeremy. Jeremy has a panicked look on his face.

"Has anyone seen vicki?" He asked concerned
"You're her stalker. You tell us?" Tyler mocked
"I can't find her" he replied ignoring Tyler mocking him, he was worried about Vicki
"She's probably found someone else to party with, pill pusher" Tyler chuckled "you've been replaced" he smirked trying to wind Jeremy up
"Your dealing now?" Elena snapped at him irritated with his behaviour
"Do you want to do this right now?" Jeremy argued back
"She's never going to go with you" Tyler continued to Mock Jeremy
"She already did, over and over and over again" Jeremy smirked, Tyler went red in the face, either from embarrassment or anger
"Yeah. Right" Tyler decided to call bluff
"You slept with vicki Donavan... vicki donavan slept with you" Caroline piped up surprised about the outcome of the argument. I rolled my eyes, this girl is all drama
"There's no way" Tyler tried to convince himself
"And I didn't even have to force her into it" Jeremy said trying to get a rise out of Tyler
"What is he talking about" Matt demand to know
"Nothing man" tyler brushed off
"You know what... how about all of you shut up and help me find my sister" Matt spat at everyone
"Well check out back" bonnie said
"Come on let's leave them to talk" I whispered to bonnie as we walked into the bathroom to try and find vicki. We spent a few hours looking for her but couldn't find her. It was getting late and i decided to head home, after vicki was found by Stefan. Caroline and Bonnie chose to stay for a little while longer. Elena and Jeremy went home as well.

As I walked through the front door. My mum was laying on the sofa asleep with the news on. I grabbed a blanket to cover her with, and switched the tv off. I softly kissed her head and whispered "goodnight mum" I walked up the stairs and into my bedroom, laying on my bed waiting for sleep to over take me.
