Chapter 12: Wrath

"Cherry what's going on." Tito asked with a slight smile, he tried to walk closer to Cherry but Cherry backed up cautiously with his guard up, ready to strike at any time. Tito flinched in fake pain at the gesture, he whispered an inaudible 'ouch' as he awkwardly laughed it off. "Figures you don't remember me, we haven't seen each other since middle school." Tito said somberly.

Cherry's gaze hardened and he scoffed before responding. "Oh I remember you Tito, and I'm here to kill you. You traitor." Cherry had a disgusted scowl on his face. "Traitor? What the hell are you talking about?" Tito asked with a confused look on his face. Cherry began chuckling a bit before responding.

"So you're the one that doesn't remember now, you abandoned us, you abandoned me. Five years ago, surely you remember. You have to remember. The Xo Bus massacre." Cherry said while shaking a bit, visibly angry and trying to hold back tears.

"I could never forget that day, that year of torture." Tito said while gripping his fake arm. Cherry growled at Tito before he spoke furiously. "So you DO remember. So you know what you did! And lied!" Cherry yelled out, Tito growled back at Cherry and matched the intensity in his voice.

"What fucking betrayal are you talking about! You don't know what u had to go through after I was abducted! You're starting to piss me off, what do you know!?" Tito screamed out while clenching his fists, Cherry winced a bit from Tito's intensity and decided to lower his tone a bit.

"Princess told me everything a few months ago so did King. Five years ago, a few months after you went missing Xo Town was brutally attacked. Women, children, and the elderly, nobody was spared. At least half of the population was killed off. . . Including my family. Rhythm also lost his family as well, a small neighboring kingdom decided to attack Xo Town in attempts to secretly take control of the land, thinking that King wouldn't notice a small and weak town being taken over." Cherry bit his lip so hard that she started bleeding.

"And while holding my dead fucking mother in my arms guess who I saw on the enemy front lines. My best friend Tito." Cherry said, struggling to stop himself from crying again. "What? That's impossible! I was still captured at that time. King is lying to you, and so is Marci! They're the ones that abducted and tortured me!" Tito tried to plead his case to Cherry, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

"I bet he did, after you committed those heinous crimes." Cherry retorted with a disgusted look on his face.

"No! I was kidnapped right after the bus massacre and taken to one of King's facilities." Tito argued back getting progressively more angry.

"Princess wouldn't lie and King definitely wouldn't lie, he's the one that saved us from total destruction ." Cherry proudly said with his head held high.

"I don't care what he did, he's probably the one who sent those guys to attack Xo Town in the first place, he's a monster and so is Marci." Tito said with a stern look on his face. "You don't know the things they did to me, and if you did you'll agree that they're terrible people that should be dealt with." Tito added on.

"But I do know what you did to Marci. You tried to viciously assault her when the battle was almost over luckily King stopped you could do anything, you filth." Tito froze for a moment, he didn't blink or move a muscle after Cherry said that. It took a few seconds for Tito to realize what had been done to him.

King and Marci had devised a plan if Tito had ever escaped, or they might've even expected Tito to one day escape. Their plan was to completely tarnish Tito's character and good name so that if he returns to Xo Town, he wouldn't be greeted with a warm welcome, he'd be killed on sight. But there was two unseen factors that Marci didn't account for In her plan.
