"you're up early" noah said to me as i walked down the stairs with a blanket wrapped around my body. my dirty blonde hair in a messy bun. a cropped white tang top and a pair of pink shorts.

i stuck my middle finger up at him. my mom laughed. "why are you up before 2 in the afternoon" noah asked.

okay i admit my sleeping schedule is shit. i normally sleep all day. but today i woke up at 12:30. which is weird. cause i never do that if i don't have to.

i shrugged my shoulders. "oh the sleeping beauty is awake" my dad teased. i looked over at him and smiled. i went and hugged him. he kissed the top of my head. "good morning sweetheart" he said.

i'm really close with my dad. i'm close with both of my parents but i'm a total daddy's girl.

"lee!" my mom called out. he came running down the stairs. "sup" he said. my mom handed me a bowl with fruit in it. i sat on the ground and ate it.

i know that sounds weird but i wanted to pet my dog at the same time i ate breakfast.

"okay,so school starts tomorrow. and so we don't have a reenactment of last years first day of school,i want you guys to promise me you guys will not fight tomorrow morning" she said.

noah scoffed and lee rolled his eyes.

let me fill you in on what she was talking about. last year on our first day of school,noah and lee were fighting over something stupid like usual. noah went to push lee but i was right behind lee and he fell back on me and i was right next to a window and it smashed and cut a big gash on my back. so instead of going to school,we spent the morning in the emergency room so i could get stitches.

"okay that wasn't my fault" noah said. "you literally pushed me" lee argued. "well you were being annoying" noah fought back. "guys guys guys!" my mom said. they looked at her. "no fighting" she said.

"is everyone clear on the no fighting rule?" my mom asked. we all nodded. "okay,noah are you still good to bring emma to school everyday" she asked. "yeah of course" he said.

"i think you guys should just let me drop out" i said. my dad smiled and my mom did too. they're never gonna let me so they just smile everytime i ask. "mom please" i begged. "i hate everyone at school" i complained.

"why?" lee chimed in. "everyone's annoying and i hate my friends" i complained. "your friends were here the other day" noah said. "okay and" i said. "but you hate them?" he asked. "yeah" i answered. "then why were they here" lee asked. "okay you clearly don't know how girl's friendships work" i said. lee looked confused.

i rolled my eyes and stood up. "oh also me and your father will be out of town this weekend. we're leaving thursday morning and we'll be back sunday night" she said. "mom you're leaving me with these two again" i whined. "honey noah will take good care of you,he always does,you'll be fine" she said. i looked at her. my dad walked up to me. and wrapped his arms around me. i smiled. noah looked happy. he definitely was planning a party for when they're gone.

eventually i went back upstairs. i laid in my bed and went back to sleep. that's all i did all summer.

my brothers both had great summers and then there was me. i slept my whole summer away.
