The story of the living god.
- Martha's pov
When I first heard about the rumor of a 'god' trying to take over the great capital city of Embercrest I thought it was bullshit, but apparently not. My name is Martha Vespertine, I work for a rebellion. My informant named Aziel apparently witnessed a summoning of the dead and the one that summoned the dead looked like a tiefling with tall horns and a leather shoulder brace with black pants. As i was writing in my journal i see a large male walk into the tavern i was sitting in with an ale next to me, and as i look up he looks at me with blue eyes, he had brown hair and tanned skin, broad shoulders and steel armor and a steel greatsword slung on his back. He began walking toward me and as he did i put away my journal and looked at him as he approached "hello, im Markus, i believe you have an informant named Aziel?" he asked putting his hands on the table as if to steady himself, now that he was closer i could see a burn scar that went from his jawline to his cheekbone. "Yes, why do you ask?" I questioned firmly as he started to look nervous as he started to look down and blush "let me guess, you want me to organize a little date for you and him right?" I asked , smiling as he nodded, "ok, I will see what I can do" I said as he looked up, smiled, looking relieved "thank you very much" he said as he left, and as i was about to begin writing again as the door opened but i didn't look up this time purely out of laziness.
- Kat's pov
Today was an interesting one, at the moment I was walking into a tavern looking for Martha. I had heard about her and wanted to see if she was as competent as I had heard, as I spotted a human with broad shoulders, black hair, scars covering her body and a notebook in front of her. I started to walk to her table and sat down next to her as she quickly put away her crimson notebook. She looked at me confused. "Who are you?" she asked her hand quickly on her dagger that was placed on her hip. "My name is Kat and I'm pretty sure you are Martha right?" i asked as she looked at me even more confused "how did yo-" she tried to ask as i interrupted "i need someone to help find two elves, my parents" i explained as her face went very straight "ah, your a half elf right? That would make sense, i can get you a lead by tomorrow afternoon, but my services ain't cheap" she said looking at me as she connected the dots in her mind "how much?" I asked
- Aziel's pov- 1 day later
It was starting to become evening and Martha told me to meet at a tree on a hill overlooking the sunset. As I looked around I saw a very handsome man walking toward me. I had never seen this man in my life but he looked kind of familiar. As he got closer I saw his brown hair, his beautiful blue eyes and his clean, simple clothes. "Hey! You're Aziel right? From the military?" he asked as he got to the top of the hill, he was carrying a small basket with a cloth over it and the smell coming from the gods, it was absolutely divine, but I kept my composure and looked him dead in the eyes "who's asking?" I questioned as he stopped moving "me, who else would be asking?" he asked looking at me back "never mind, yes, im Aziel, why?" I asked as he sat down next to me. "Well, I remembered you from my time in the military and from my memory you were very impressive," he said, opening the basket revealing beautiful pastries and other delicious looking treats. "Good lord, how the hell did you get all these?" I asked, surprised at the amount of food in the basket "I made them, want one?" he asked, holding one out for me "absolutely!" I said, excitedly grabbing the pastry and quickly ate it, and by the gods it was good. "How the hell is anything this damn good?" I asked, my mouth still full as he smiled at me. "Well, I think it was just practice, you should have seen the first batch, it almost burned down the house!" he said as I looked at him with disbelief "really!" I said with shock, trying but failing to hold back laughter. "Yeah, it's funny now," he said, smiling and laughing with me. "I think I do remember your sense of humor from the infirmary, also, you almost got me killed!" I shouted in mock anger "yes, but I also saved you!" he defended in the same mock anger "alright thats fair" i said losing the anger with a smile "and if i remember correctly that is how you got that" i said touching the burn scar on his jaw as slightly winced at the touch. "Yeah, sadly you do remember correctly" he said looking like the memory of the scar was painful "anyway, what are you up to now?" he asked as I scoffed more of the delicious treats he brought. "oh, just information gathering for the highest bidder" i said "what about you Markus?" I asked him as he looked toward the sun, which was beginning to set. "Trying to find you actually" he said and i must have looked very confused because he immediately went "ok, that sounds bad i know, but hear me out, i was looking for you because i need help" he said as i got over my shock "well what with, also, great idea for a date" i said kinda impressed because it really was as he began blushing and tried to defend himself "no, it's not like that" he said blushing more "then what is it like?" i asked "well, my parents are in a tricky situation and they owe some dangerous people a lot of money, i need your help to get this money, or to do some jobs for said dangerous people" he explained quickly "oh, ok, yeah sure, i can do that, anything else i can do for you?" i asked smirking at him as my mind gave me many things i could do for him as i sat there in my short black skirt "ummmm, i can think of some but they really aren't appropriate" he said blushing a deep crimson "that's fine, i'm all good with that" i said leaning closer to him as he leant in closer as well "well alright then" he said as he leant in enough to kiss me.
- Markus's pov- the next morning
As i woke to the birds chirping and the warm sun on my face i opened my eyes to see Aziel in front of me putting his shirt on as he looked at me and smirked "well done mate" he said as he began walking down the hill, it was then that i noticed i was still nude underneath the blanket I brought last night. While i got up and dressed i remembered what had happened last night and began blushing furiously, i was supposed to get his help not fuck him. When I got back into the city and into the tavern to get changed into my armor I saw Aziel waiting for me, dressed in full leather armor, minus the helmet, I could see a small anklet on him and a tattoo on his right arm.
