Between The Lines

Prelude.

"Mulatto." Ravyn heard as she sat at her station with her laptop in her lap, trying to hurry up and finish the last paragraph of her psychology paper that was due in the next 30 minutes. She sucked her teeth before looking up at the woman that said her name, her sister Ivy. "What girl?" The female responded as she finished typing the last word of her essay before scanning over it then quickly submitting it.

"Are you ready for your set tonight?" The caramel female standing at 5'9 asked, taking a seat at her station that was right beside her sisters. Ravyn put her laptop back in her bag before locking it away in her locker and nodding her head "Yeah Ivy I guess I'm ready, I just had to finish my essay because you know I don't like turning things in late."

Ravyn was overwhelmed between trying to finish school and make a living by stripping obviously to pay her way through school and to keep the amazing condo her and sister lived in together. It's always just been them two, since Ravyn was 16 and Ivy was 15. Since she was a sophomore in College and her sister was a freshman, they were both able to attend the same school, California State University. There they go to school with their bestfriends from high school, Alana and Tyler. They all worked at club diamonds together and had the same goals.

Ravyn got ready to take the stage, she usually left for the night with about 5 thousands dollars, tonight their were a lot of big spenders so she knew she had to be on her game tonight. Her blonde with rainbow streaks hair was curled to perfection, she was wearing a black laced panty and bra set that had garter straps. She made her way to the bar where her friend Tyler was currently working. "Girl I need two double shots of Patron." Tyler laughed shaking her head, "I already know sis." She spoke as she poured the double shots watching as Ravyn quickly downed them before taking a deep breath and making her way towards the stage after hearing her stage name called.

After 30 minutes on stage and another hour doing private dances, Ravyn was finally done and it was about 3 am. She knew she had to get home because she had an 11 am class in the morning, she packed up all of her things and the money she made for the night and waited for her sister to get done. Finally around 3:45 her and her sister were on their way home. She took a quick shower and removed her makeup before climbing into the bed and falling straight to sleep. The next day her alarm went off at exactly 9:45 am and she wanted so bad to snooze it but she knew she had to get up. She heard loud music playing meaning her sister was already up getting ready which was a plus because between her and her sister it would take both 2 hours to get ready.

After handling her hygeine she did her hair and a natural beat on her face, her hair was now a bright red and she had on a black strapped crop top and some ripped jeans with her prada strap sandles. She paired her outfit with her black over the shoulder prada bag, grabbing the keys to her rolls royce truck as she waited for her sister to finish. While she waited she texted the group chat and asked if anybody else needed a ride. When they all responded no, she noticed her sister walking out of the bathroom dressed and ready to go.

FInally they were on their way to school at 10:30, they didn't live too far so it was a breeze getting there. When they arrived in the parking lot, all of their friends were there waiting for them. Ravyn linked up with Alana and Tyler because they had all of their classes together and Ivy linked up with Samara because they had all of their classes together. Ravyn was lowkey dreading today because she knew she was going to have to see Jonas booed up with his stupid girlfriend in their first class.

"Ravyn you good girl? you look exhausted." Alana asked as she looked at her friend with a concerned look on her face. "Yes I'm good sis, just had a long day at the club last might." She responded as they began to make their way to class after saying goodbye to her sister and Samara. "Yeah girl you was hella busy last night." Tyler said as they finally reached their First block which was Psychology. Ravyn walked in first and she immediately locked eyes with Jonas and he smirked at her. In case y'all didn't know she has had the biggest crush on him since they met their freshman year of college, they were pretty good friends though. "Wassup Ravyn." Jonas spoke to her as she internally rolled her eyes, "Hey Jo." She responded before walking to her seat followed by Alana and Tyler. "Girl why he always slick flirting with you?" Alana asked laughing softly. "Bitch I do not know but he gone fuck around and get fucked." Ravyn spoke loud enough for Jonas to hear which caused him to look back at her and wink. She slickly gave him the middle finger.

The day was finally over for them at 2 pm and the girls split up, Ravyn was on her way to her car when Jonas appeared next to her. She rolled her eyes before looking over at him, "How can I help you sir?" she asked attitude laced in her voice. Jonas loved seeing her angry, he decided to taunt her by poking her cheek and asking, "What are you doing tonight?" She knew she couldn't tell him the truth so she lied, "I guess staying home and studying for midterms that are coming up. What are you doing tonight?" She asked after he put his arm over her shoulder, "Nothing, I'm going to hang out with the boys." She nodded her head at him, "Well that sounds fun. You wanna come over tonight afterwards?" She didn't really think too much about asking him that because they usually always hung out late. "He responded, " I was going to ask you if I could so yeah!" They hugged eachother then she met her sister at her car and they both got into it and pulled off going home.
