Anna trudged through the Spooky Woods, her dog Max followed close by. "Are we almost home?" Max grumbled. "Yep, almost" Anna mumbled an answer to her dog. Max lifted his right front paw and licked what seemed to be a burn. "I hate the Fire Kingdom, the ground is hot and it burned my paws" he whimpered grumpily. Well it is the Fire Kingdom after all, I would think one would know that the ground would be hot" Anna said in a bored tone. "It was your first trip to the Fire Kingdom after all, you'll get used to the heat" she explained.

They finally arrived at their home after about two more hours of walking. Anna threw open the door and walked inside, Max followed.

Their home was most definitely not fancy. Broken windows, the wood that the house was made out of seemed to be very old, and it was quite small. The inside of the home was somewhat better; a small bed that had a large blanket that looked as if it was made of animal fur, a fluffy circular pad on the floor for Max's bed, worn out wood flooring, a decent sized shaggy rug laid next to one of the broken windows, a small dark red couch with a few rips in it sat across the room, and two wooden chairs were pushed up next to a counter that was made out of a large rough rock slab, the kitchen was beyond simple; it had a stove, mini fridge, two cabinets, and few pictures hung crookedly on the walls.

"I'm exhausted" Anna breathed plopping down on her bed. "Same here" Max sighed curling up on his bed and wrapping his fluffy gray tail around himself. "Hey Anna?" He murmured. "Yea?" Anna acknowledged, patiently waiting for the question. Max yawned and tiredly spoke, "Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have another human to talk to?" "More often than you could ever imagine Max, more than you could ever imagine" Anna sighed as both of them began to drift off into sleep.
