STARING at the small list of information she had collected Yuri heaved a sigh. She glanced up slightly seeing Dan-I looking like a wandering soul then turned her head slightly seeing one of the boys she had met this morning, Ji-ho, get up and storm across the room. He stopped next to Dan-I then asked, "Who is Ban Yeoryeong." Everyone span and stared at the gorgeous girl who Yuri had failed to notice. "It's me."
They shared a conversation yet Yuri had stopped paying attention. Her emotions were conflicting. On one hand, she was happy... In a sense this is what she has always wanted. A loving family. Yet, she still felt lost, she still felt she was dreaming. If she was and she awoke, what would she do?
Her worries surrounded her until the bell indicating the end of the day was sounded. She hadn't realised so much time had passed and glancing at Dan-I she had seemed to be in the same boat. Yuri wanted to get confirmation from her before she went... home? But she didn't get the chance, the pretty girl from earlier was quick to drag Dan-I off. Yuri decided against following them and instead released a small sigh before packing up and leaving the classroom slowly.
She wasn't in a hurry to get home. She wanted to take her time to prepare her mind. She had to be prepared if they were still there and she had to be prepared if the only person left was her father. Her drunk father.
She sighed and began walking. Absentmindedly, without a destination planned. Another sigh left her lips then a voice called out to her.
"Hey where are you going?" A boy who seemed to be older approached her. His face had a nasty grin- it was nerving.
Yuri looked away and continued walking hoping he wouldn't pursue. Yet her luck...
"I'm talking to you!" the boy grabbed her hand harshly and stopped her from walking any further.
"I'm busy. Please let go," Yuri replied calmly not wanting an argument to occur.
"You!"
"She said let go."
A boy with radiating purple hair and a cold expression came forward. He looked familiar. She carefully inspected his face and came to the realisation she looked very close to her classmate- Yeoryeong?
The boy took one look at him and shivered- he ran off immediately.
"Thank you," Yuri bowed politely.
"You're welcome..."
An awkward silence stuck.
"Ah then-..."
As Yuri went to leave he spoke once more.
"I am Ban Yeodan."
Her eyes widened.
"Song Yuri."
Another awkward pause ensued.
"I should get going home..." Yuri smiled slightly once again thanking the boy.
He stopped her once more. He looked desperate? Yuri was hit with a sudden feeling of nostalgia- had they met before?
"Your number. Can I have your number." His face was tinted with a slight blush.
She paused then nodded. After all he had saved her and... she couldn't shake this feeling that she knew him.
After sharing numbers they bowed and began walking in opposite directions. The encounter was slightly awkward, Yuri wasn't amazing at communicating. Yet, neither was he.
She decided she must face her 'parents.' She began to walk home.
