Kass had been gone for 500 years, although it has only been 5 years in his realm. His departure had left the sibling distraught. They understood- they really did, that it was very important for him to leave but it didn't mean that they did not miss him. Every day, during their meals they would talk to each other about him and how he changed their lives for the better.
With him gone, the brothers had to distract themselves somehow, so they diverted their whole attention towards breaking Nik's curse. They even found a new doppelganger, after Katerina bailed on them.
So, 500 years later, Niklaus Mikaelson finally became the person he was supposed to be, creating his hybrids after solving the Elena Gilbert- dead but not so dead issue. Everything was going well for the mikaelson family. Now, all they had to do was wait for their soulmate to return and until then he and his siblings could terrorize the people of Mystic Falls.

Hello!! So a few points:
-This story begins after the ball and from the spell Esther was doing. They all have been lovers for a very long time basically from when the Mikaelsons were mortals.
- And no, Finn does not help his mother, she linked them in some other way.
- Chaos is very very powerful, it's kinda understood from him being the creator of everything.
-He cannot be killed like in no way, oh! And the best detail- any witchy magic cannot work on him, with them being servants of nature and him being you know what.
-This story is very AU, as it's been a while since I've watched the series and we are NOT sticking to the plot.
-So this plot has been on my mind for so long and I am so happy to finally write.
