Third Person's POV

Graduation day finally came around. The seniors were all dressed and making their way to the stadium. Why they decided to hold a four hours long program outside in May in Texas was beyond anyone's imagination. They did have EMTs on standby for anyone that may pass out.

After many speeches and singing and prayers, the graduates were finally being called. Every once in the while, one of the graduates would do something "undignified" as they crossed the stage. When one of the frat members would cross, they would throw up their frat sign as their brothers in the audience yelled out. Being the president, Trevor of course, did the SIP stroll. Professor Palmer let him get away with it for a minute. When Gio's name was called, he couldn't let Tre out do him. He called out to "PB Rho!" and they answered back with "YOU KNOOOW!"

After singing the school alma mater and a final prayer, the caps went flying into the air to signal that it was  the end for those seniors.

Trevor and Gio told their families and friends to meet them on Black Greek Row instead of trying to find them in the crowd. It took almost an hour before they all met up.

Somehow all of the parents were gathered together. Pops, Anthony and Alessandro were chatting like old friends while Mama D was talking to Gio's mother and stepfather. A group of young Italian men were standing to close to Alessandro.

As soon as Alessandro saw Gio, he yelled out "Mio figlio! Congratulazioni!"

He grabbed Gio in a big bear hug and kissed both cheeks.

"Grazie, Papa! I miei cugini! Sei venuto!"

"English, Giovanni! And of course we came! It's not every day that our little genius graduates from college. Now, where's the boyfriend? We need to talk to him, yes?"

Gio's cousins, Luka, Antonio, Dante and Vincenzo, all smiled at him while Gio shook his head.

"You will meet him but you will not try to scare him. I will tell Nonna."

"Ah cousin. No fun. Come, let us meet your friends, yes? We do the dinner and then ditch the old folks and we party, yes?"

Introductions were made all around with the parents and such. To celebrate, Alessandro and Elwood, Gio's stepfather, arranged to have dinner at Elias Dominion's estate. The group made their way to the massive compound. There was enough food and drink to feed a small army. While they were sitting around the table, the conversation of what was next came up.

"Well, I'm taking a break this summer. We're going to Italy and then it's grad school", Gio said.

"Who's we", Elwood asked.

"Ah, well I offered a musical showcase for Adrian's band for the summer. It's also a chance for our graduates to relax before they resume their studies."

"So have you boys decided where you're going to school? Are you finally coming home, Giovanni?"

"I am home. And I'll be here for grad school. Trevor and I are going to get an apartment together here. We're narrowing  it down before we leave for vacation."

Trevor choked on his food and looked at Gio. This was news to him. Gio shot him a look that said "just go with it".

"Um yeah, we decided to stay at DFU, bless the city with our sexiness and brains and make sure that the twerk twins down there stay out of trouble."

"Gentlemen, I may be able to assist you with the living arrangements. I just bought a condo complex. So when you get back from Italy, give my office a call. I can't have my two new interns living at the Y", Mr. Dominion said.

Again, Trevor looked at Gio who again just gave him a look.

"Um, is this a paid internship because I'm a spoiled princess and I'm really high maintenance", Adrian asked.

Mr. Dominion smiled and said, "I may have something for you and your band as well, Adrian."

"Ok, just have your people call my event coordinator, Chris, and they can hammer out the details."

Chris looked at him and said, "Um, what? Event coordinator?"

"Chris, you can plan and organize a party better than anyone. Plus, when you get your law degree, you can make sure that the contracts on legit. And you have the right amount of blue blood and bougie in you."

"Got ya. Ok, we'll get that together on the plane."

Mr. McCarthy stood up and said, "I'd like to make a toast to the graduates. These last four years of your life have been the building blocks for your future. Whether it's more education or stepping right into the field of your choice, there's a whole new world out there for you to conquer. It can be what you make it. I'm not saying that it's going to be easy but if you're up for the challenge and the hard work, all of the studying and late nights and missed parties would have been worth it. Congratulations on your graduation and good luck with your future endeavors. To the graduates!"

"To the graduates!"

Luca sighed loudly. "Ok, now can we go party? We've toasted and smiled. Can we go party and make nice with the people?"

"Yes, now we go party. Real life is coming soon enough," Gio said.

The End...?
