Chapter 36

Madison's POV
Taylor and I arrived at the hall.
We sat down. My phone rang it was Kathy
"Taylor Kathy is calling me" I began to panic
"Well answer it!"
"Hello?"
"Yeah you need to come get your children mom is going crazy again!"
"Oh my god, I'll be there soon just please hide or calm her down do something"

"Taylor my mom is going crazy again"
We rand out the hall, he house was 2 hr away.
I began to shake and cry because if something happens to Dillon I won't forgive myself. Taylor grabbed my hand and I stopped shaking.
"Taylor, it's my fault, Taylor I'm sorry "
"Madison don't worry, everything is going to be fine."
"No when my mom goes crazy she goes crazy, Taylor of something happens I will never forgive myself."
"Madison. Please calm down, your going to pass out"
We got to my moms house and there were police cars outside. Taylor and I ran inside Dillon was crying and Kathy was holding on to Jack. I picked up Dillon. The police were trying to get my mom to calm down. My mother was holding a gun. I hugged my mom and pushed her to the floor. The gun fired and hit me in the stomach. Everything was blurry, Taylor ran to me and shook me, then everything went black.
Taylor's POV
Madison's mom fired the gun and it went right through Madison's stomach. I ran over to her and shook her
"Madison please! Stay with me"
Her eyes closed and I began to cry. Jack pulled me away and hugged me.
"Taylor, don't cry please your making Dillon cry!"
Dillon was crying.
"Daddy why are they taking mommy she's sleeping" Kathy took Dillon outside.
I slid my back down the wall and began to cry, Jack held me and wouldn't let go.
"It should have been me!" I said
"No Taylor please don't say that.
The police took Madison's mom. I got in the car. My face was all red and puffy.
"Kathy, you can stay with us for tonight"
"Okay, thank you"
We arrived at the hospital and we sat down in the waiting room.
I ran my fingers through my hair.
This is my fault I always screw everything up!
"Daddy!" Dillon kept tapping me.
"What Dillon!"
"Don't cry Daddy it's okay mommy is just sleeping."
It caused me to cry more.
"Dillon you want to go to the vending machine" Kathy and Jack walked Dillon to the vending machine.
Someone walked through the door. 'Guess who'
"Hey it's pretty boy" Ken said
"Aren't you supposed to be in jail"
"Yeah but they let me on probation for one day and then I have to go bad, just to see Madison"
"I don't think she wants you here"
Dillon came running over
"Daddy who is that"
"He's someone your mom knows"
"Don't lie to the kid" Ken said
"I'm your grandpa Ken"
"Your not my grandpa" Dillon sat on top of me.
"Ken, I think it's best if you don't talk"
Ken laid back on the chair.
"Don't worry kid, Madison has been through a lot I'm sure she will be okay. So who is he"
Ken said pointing to Jack
"That's my brother and his girlfriend"
The doctor came out and called my name. I walked over and took Dillon with me.
"Taylor, I have good news and bad. Madison is okay for not she's alive. But we don't know how much longer we can keep her alive."
I walked away and sat back down.
I hugged Dillon and began to cry again.
"But you can see her now" the doctor said
"Taylor why don't you go inside and I'll stay wit Dillon and these two" Ken said
"Yeah okay am I really supposed to trust you."
"What am I supposed to do in a hospital the cops are right outside."
I walked away and went into the room. Madison was sleeping, I put my hand over her hand and said
"Madison I love you, and I need you! Don't leave please"
Madison woke up and tried to get up.
"Ouch! Wtf I can't move, who are you?"
Oh god, did Madison lose her memory.
"No no Madison it's me Taylor!"
"Taylor? Who's Madison's?"
I began to cry again.
"Taylor I'm just playing with you I didn't lose my memory"
"Oh, I hate you so much" I laughed
"Where's Dillon?"
"He's outside with Jack Kathy and Ken"
"Ken?"
"Yeah they let him out on probation to see you"
"Oh, okay"
I kissed Madison and walked out to get Dillon.
"MOMMY YOUR UP"
I held Dillon,
"Can I sit on mommy?"
"No, her stomach hurts"
"Mommy is not feeling well Dillon but you can come lay down with me" Madison said
Ken walked in
"Hey how are you feeling"
"Good"
"Well this is awkward" Jack said
"Why don't we give your mommy and daddy time together" Ken said and walked out the door with Dillon, Jack and Kathy.
"So how do you feel"
"Well, I can't eat anything solid and I had surgery so they took the bullet out. But I have to stay here for 3 more days and then I have to come back every week. I miss you baby"
"I miss you too Madison"
"I can't move and it's driving me crazy"
I felt really bad and I was still crying.
"Baby, don't cry she's my psychopath mother"
"But I would have felt better if it was me"
"No because then I would have turned into a psychopath"
I laughed through my pain of guilt and sorrow.
The doctor came in,
"Taylor we have to take tests on Madison so well call you in, in 10 minutes"
I left the room and sat down and began to cry again.
"Taylor, I know you love her a lot so do I but for her and Dillon don't cry everything is going to be okay" Ken said
"You know, your not as bad as a person as I thought"
"Yeah I went to jail because of there mother, she pulled a gun to Madison's head 3 times and I tried to stop her but it made it seem like I was guilty."
I didn't say anything I just buried my face into my jacket. This is my fault I don't know what I will do if Madison doesn't survive. The doctor walked over.
"Taylor you can take her home today just make sure she doesn't move a lot, she will have to go to therapy for both physical and mental damage. She also is only aloud to eat soup and drink liquids not including soda, then every week you have to bring her back so we can evaluate her, if she stop breathing immediately call 911."
I went in the room to help Madison put her clothes on. We walked out of the hospital and the officers let Ken go for today but he will have to come back. I helped Madison in the car. I got in the drivers seat and put my head on the wheel. Madison put her hand on my back.
"Don't cry please, for me?"
I picked my head up and drove off. We got home and I stood in the car with Madison.
"Ken is staying with us just for today and so is Kathy"
"Okay I'm fine with that " she said
My face was still red and puffy and I couldn't do anything but cry.
"Hey hey, look at me" Madison said in a soft voice
I turned my head toward her and she kissed me
"Baby don't cry I'm okay!"
I helped her get out of the car and we sat on the couch with Ken.
"I'll be back in going to go check on the rest"
"Don't touch my girl," I said to Ken
He put his hand up in surrender
I walked into Dillon's room.
"Hey buddy how are you"
"Daddy why are you crying"
"Because it hurts"
"Do you need me to kiss it?"
"Yeah I wish you could do that"
Dillon kissed my cheek
"Dillon I love you a lot"
"I love you too daddy"
I walked out of his room and into Jacks room, the door was open but Jack and Kathy were literally swallowing each other.
I knocked on the door and they both jumped away from each other.
"Yeah I know already."
"I'm going to kill Madison"
"I don't think you can do that she's already half dead"
"Taylor! Don't say that!" Jack said They both got up and hugged me.
I handed Jack a condom and walked away saying
"Make sure to use protection"
I walked downstairs and Madison was on her phone.
I stood over her and bent down and kissed her.
"Aw, love birds" Ken said
I sat down beside Madison and she rested her head on my shoulder. We fell asleep, I woke up both Madison and Ken were gone. I walked upstairs and they were in Dillon's room watching tv with Dillon.
"Oh, sleepy head is up" I sat down on the floor with them and Dillom jumped on top of Madison.
"OUCH!" She yelled
"DILLON! I told you not to do that" I screamed
"Sorry daddy! I DIDNT MEAN IT!"
Dillon began to cry and he walked out of the room. He sat on one of the steps. I sat next to him and he moved away from me. I grabbed him hand and he began to scream. Madison and Ken both got up and stood by the door.
"Hey, stop screaming!" I said
Dillon finally stopped screaming.
"Daddy is sorry he didn't mean to yell at you, you know I love you"
"Okay daddy I'm sorry for jumping on mommy.
But why did she scream now? I always jump on her"
A tear streamed down my face and I said
"I don't know Dillon, I really don't know."
"Hey, kid let's go get some ice cream" Ken said
"Okay grandpa" Dillon said
"You better come back with my child" I said
"Don't worry I will!"
