ROXANNE POV.

"Are you sipping orange juice out of a wine glass?"

Jackson drawled from behind me.
I sighed, still not turning around,
"what? It makes me feel fancy." I replied dryly. He chuckled and took a few steps forward, "Ro, we need to talk. Now." His voice had a slight edge to it as if he was uncomfortable speaking to me. "What? Are you breaking up with me?" I scoffed sarcastically, he was as straight as the loop-de-loop on a roller coaster.

He let out a frustrated noise and walked towards me turning my chair, simultaneously spilling my drink on the floor. I glared at him until I saw Ace Valentino, the most dangerous man in the country, let me rephrase that, the most dangerous man in the world. three entourages behind him and four security guards, though if I were being honest, they were the ones needing protection. Even being seen with Ace would make his enemies yours.

I schooled my face into indifference and sighed loudly,- I seemed to be doing that a lot these days- turning to Jackson, and completely dismissing Ace. A bold move, but a necessary one if I wanted to stay alive. I wasn't afraid of him of course, but to see Ace Valentino in the flesh, well, that was rare for any who wanted to make it out alive.

"What? I don't have all day and I'm not in the mood to deal with alive human beings right now." I rubbed my chin slightly, feigning thinking something, "Though if there are any for me to torture..." He rolled his hazel eyes and scowled "this is serious Roxanne. Please." I pouted, "you're no fun today Jackie," I said mockingly, a smirk making its way onto my face.

He pursed his lips and gestured for me to follow, I looked at Ace and his group-if you could call it that- and scoffed under my breath, following Jackson to the private rooms. We sat down on the sofa, two of Ace's guards standing outside the room, and two inside.

The three men had amused smirks on their handsome faces as if amused by the situation. Just as Jackson was about to talk his phone buzzed, "one moment" he said and gave me a look that said 'behave', I only rolled my eyes in response.

"So," the one on the left said, "what's your name beautiful?" I looked at him and held out my hand "nunya" I said, "as in nunya fucking business" I smiled venomously. The one on the right chuckled and nodded as if giving his approval, "I don't know why you're laughing blondie." I snapped. I knew I was being rude, but the thought of Jackson letting people into my bar without my knowing pissed me off. The middle one cocked his head to the side, trying to figure me out, I glared at him and my lip curled in disgust.
