I Know It's A Lie

Chapter - 1

Esme's pov:

It's morning already but I don't want to wake up I want to sleep more. Soon I heard my mom coming inside my room and telling me to wake up or I'll be late to school.

Time skipped

I'm ready for school and as always, I just grabed the toast and went out. The whether today is pleasant,and the walk to the school was peaceful.

In school:

As soon as I reached my corridor I saw my friends and I ran to them. My friend had a wired expression on their face I wanted to ask what's wrong but the bell rang nd we went to class.

In break:

"Esme did uh checked your account?" asked Jennifer.

" No, I told you I'll be keeping my phone aside as exams are coming, why?" replied esme

Both of her friends looked at each other with an expression don't know what to say to her.

" Guys what's with you both today?"
" Anyway tell me how is Benjamin doing I couldn't talk to him for a while now? I wonder what he doing" asked esme.

Still she didn't got an reply from her friends and it's making her worry.

" Jennifer, Alin why don't you both say something, I'm already having a bad feeling when I think about Benjamin."

"Esme, first promise us you won't cry" said Alin.

"Okay I do"

"Actually Benjamin is dating someone else, he posted a picture with a girl saying 'mine'. He's been with her for a week now" said Jennifer.

How can this be possible? He said he won't ever leave me, he loved me sooo much. What am I going to do now? Thought esme while looking down at the table.

"Esme's are you alright?" asked Alin.
She looked up to her friends with no emotion. Her friends were schocked that she isn't crying.

"I can't believe this he loved me soo much and I didn't broke up with him I just wanted to give all my time in studying so we took a break. I KNOW IT'S A Lie. My mind is not ready to accept this but deep down in my heart it feels like I knew this is going to happen." said esme.

Third person's pov:

Esme got up from the table and ran out. Jennifer and Alin were worried about her as she could cry easily lott but for the first time she didn't even shed a tear.

(Short introduction on benjiman)
He was a year older than esme. He was the school playboy. He fell in love with esme when she helped him while he got hurt. After that they became best friends and soon Benjamin told her that he likes her, she first hesitated to accept his proposal as she thought he'll leave him just like that but benjiman promised her to stay loyal and never leave her. Everything was going well till she got to know about Benjamin is with someone else.

Esme was in the washroom looking the mirror she wondered why is she feeling like she knew this is going to happen. Why can't she cry.
Then she remembered.........

Flashback ~

Esme celebrated a happy new year with her family. She was close to all the people in the family, but this one person was really really close to her heart. Her grandpa he was her world,ever since she was a kid she visited him almost every week.

This year was going good when after  celebrating new year with him. After a week she got to know that his condition is not good and he is going to have an dialysis. She was scared as her grandpa was old and when she searched the internet she got to know it's risky for older people.

She went to the hospital after her school with her dad she was scared to scared to see him. Soon her turn came and she had to go inside the ICU ward.

The moment her grandpa saw her he got up from his bed and said,
" my kid is here, come"
She went and hugged him while crying when see saw his face she could see that he had tears in his eyes too.

"Yess, I'm here. Grandpa you get well soon and we'll go home and eat out favorite food" said esme.

They both smile and nodded. Esme soon left telling him she'll come back later. As soon as she goes out she started crying.

Time skips

It was the exhibition day in school and esme took part it activities, she can't help but to go to school as that same day was her grandpa's dialysis. She left for school being positive that he'll be fine.

That day she won the 2nd prize in her acitivity she didn't even expected it but was happy with the thought of her telling this to her grandpa and he'll be happy. The rest of the day she spend time with Benjamin, Jennifer and Alin. Benjamin also knew about her grandpa.

Later that day at night-

Her mom Dad were in a rush to go to the hospital when esme couldn't sleep at night. She got up when she heard voices downstairs.

"Where are uh both going it's late.".asked esme.
"There is an emergency your grandpa is on ventilator." said her dad.

As soon as she heard this her heart sank. She told her parents that she wants to cone with them and they went to the hospital. They were waiting out when the doctor came and said we can't anything but thankfully he is breathing, and is stable.

The next day after coming back from school she got to know her grandpa expired. She was still next to her grandpa's corpes and kept crying. By the evening she had a sever headache and caught cold.

Her friends called her the day after when she didn't come to school and she couldn't even talk to them as she was crying soo badd. Benjamin was sad and worried about her and said that he'll stay with her.
