Since the story title itself describes the concept and the lead of the story is mentioned too. It's obvious that something like this is going to happen to any one of the 2.

All the characters are same like the show. Fab5, Nandini and Navya.

Nandini didn't trust Manik and believed that in his rage he might have killed Soha. Well she was manipulated by Nyonika and which is why Manik broke up all his ties with Nandini but Nandini was adamant to mend their relationship and heal his heart.

Which is why she didn't left his side and that is when Manik came up with this condition that if they manage to sing together at the fusion concert than only they have a chance to have a future together.

Nandini was determined to win Manik back and in btwn this, she got to knows from Navya about Abhimanyu and Mukti but here Abhi doesn't have cancer but something else and he needs immediate surgery.

Nandini reveals this secret of Mukti to fab4 with only intention that if in case Abhimanyu is no more......fab4 can hold her and gather her once again which was misunderstood by Mukti.
