━━━━ SUNGHOON'S POV

"okay sunghoon ! that's the last step for today." hearing the call of my coach i skated towards the door with heavy pants, "rest then go home, okay ?" nodding i went out of the rink and sat down on one of the bleachers.

i took off my skates and drank water as i slouched down, hearing some murmuring behind me, i looked back as i saw my coach talking to one of the comity. i watched them for awhile before turning my head as i saw them part ways.

"sunghoon ah-" "i don't want to be a hockey player." i joked but my smile completely fade away when he looked at me with a serious face, "what's going on ?"

"your boyfriend...is nowhere to be found." he said slowly, i stood up and shouted, "what ?!"

"we reviewed the cameras, it was 5 minutes after the accident when the van arrived." the police officer stated, "do you know the plate number ?" ara asked shakily, she was crying ever since i arrived.

"sadly the film was too blurry and the snow completely ruined any sign from the car." we were inside the police station, trying to find any source of information about sunoo. i was silently seating at the back, still trying to process the information i got.

━━━━ THIRD PERSON'S POV

"can you try to un-blur it ?" ara again asked, desperately wanting to get her brother back. "we tried but its no use, the only thing that we can do now is wait for-" he was cut off by sunghoon.

"did you try to look at other cameras ? maybe you can find the plate number there." he stated slowly, mouth getting dry from all the crying earlier, the two officers looked at each other.

the one who was in front of them sighed, "will try to find it, i suggest you guys go back home. i'll be informing you if we got anything." sunoo's sister was about to process but was stopped when jungwon grabbed her shoulder. she looked at him as he shook his head lightly.

giving in she sighed and let jungwon escort her out, jay has his arm around sunghoon. the two best friends led them inside the car where el and jake was already peacefuly sleeping, they were the first ones to be informed of the accident. and also the ones who searched before the police came.

so it was pretty understandable when the two were tired, as sunghoon sat on the left side he looked back at the couple. seeing el's stained cheeks and jake's puffy face only brought more pain to him. he sat down stiff on the car seat.

head leaning on the window, red and swollen eyes and fingers playing. everyone can identify the somber and dark atmosphere around him, jungwon felt the heaviness of the air but dropped it as his eyes start to blur again.

he looked at the window, trying not to let anyone see him, but i didn't work as jay was already familliar with his motives. eyes still on the road he held his crush's hand softly. jungwon felt it but doesn't have any energy to complain anymore, as his mood maker was nowhere to be found.

sunghoon saw the small but warming interaction only for tears slowly start to drip down again.

ara scrolled on her phone, reading the chaotic chats that she had with her brother. brought pain, pain that no one else should feel.

they tried to blink the tears away only for new salty water to flow. the once chaotic and bright group was now dejected, as they lost their main lifeline.
