The Adventures of Lily!

Untitled Part 6

*Just a random song I heard recently. I think it's very catchy.* 

Previously 

"What?! No! I was just checking on you. And how- wait, nevermind that." Eli wisely decides to stop in his protests and focus on running- and finding his dad too, of course. 

'I really hope I made the right decision by following Lily into this, though I'm honestly starting to doubt it.' Eli thinks to himself. 

Now. . . 

"Imma be honest here: This is getting boring." 

Lily sighs dramatically as she continues floating alongside Eli, who is too busy trying to shake off aggressive Darkbanes from his back. He doesn't notice as Lily keeps both her hands behind her, one of it sending a fine thread of golden energy to the running teen. He does, however, notice his never-ending stamina which he decides to ponder over after he makes sure they're safe. 

"Then why don't you think of a plan if you're that bored?" Eli pants in exhaustion. 

Lily cups her other hand under her chin, pretending to think. "Well... I mean- I could," She purposely drags the last word. "But y'know what?" She smirks and puts the hand behind her back again. "That'd spoil the fun. Hehe~" 

Eli grumbles. "Oh, so now you think this is fun? I'd like to see you try running for your life from those persistent... monsters? Creatures? Argh! I don't know anymore!" 

Lily laughs at his demise. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Here, I'll help you." She offers as she suddenly stops flying midair and instead hovers motionless above the ground. 

Eli skids to a halt a few feet after noticing Lily gone from his sight. He looks behind him only to see a cool-as-cucumber Lily, just hovering several inches off the ground with a playful smirk. 

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Eli frantically yells as he changes direction towards Lily to pull her along. 

Eli only manages to take one step towards the 'crazy' teen before she simply smirks harder and gives him but one warning. 

"Watch your step~" 

Eli doesn't get enough time to react before he finds out for himself what she means. 

"Wh- AAHHH!!" Eli screams. At his feet, a hole suddenly rips itself open from the ground, sending Eli with nowhere but down to go. 

And yeah- down he falls into the abyssal darkness, screaming his lungs out. 

From above the hole, Lily cheekily waves at the Darkbanes who are paralyzed with shock, though they snap out of it immediately when seeing Lily wave. They shout in anger as they continue to give chase. 

"Bye~ You NINCOMPOOPS~" Lily screams in a taunting voice before dropping herself straight into the rabbit-hole, laughing all the way. 

The enemy tries to follow Lily down but the hole seems to feel like solid ground for them. No matter how hard they jump or even stomp on it, they wouldn't- couldn't- fall in. During that time, the dark hole gradually fades away until there isn't a trace of its existence left. The Darkbanes have no choice but to leave it at that and move along. 

~Timeskips~ 

"So how's it like to finally get the hang of surfing, hm? Hehehe!~ And don't you think my tunnel is amazing?~" 

Eli is currently on a flat board made of ice as he uses it to 'surf' through the downhill tunnel. Lily is on a similar board as his, making small talk here and there with him. Colorful streaks of light whizzes past everywhere around the both of them (he thinks it might be from some glow ores, or something like that) as they continue to head downwards.
